what a bunch of BS
You can always de-register your car to have it for track use only. I race on the tracks only (usually ), but what's f is the point if you get the same punishment. We need more doughnut shops in socal. I'm gonna leave a box of krispy kreams under my hood.

We just got a new 350z track car so we dont need a second one and even if I do register it out of state or sell it to a family manner, the car looks the same, the same cops will pull me over and then my family has to deal with the BS. Eventually,it will lead to the same place.
The only way I really see around it is to turn it back to stock(and I will get rid of it before then because it sucks unless you have a car with at least some decent power),repaint,it,change the rims, change the look (but if I get caught, bye bye car) and that is pretty much it.Not much of a choice really.

Sorry for all the questions, I'm just clueless on all of this. It sucks that people have to go through all of this trouble just to mod their cars.

I dont mind the questions...
You have to insure it were its registered.....BUT .... you could try and get your insurance company to do a dual state coverage. I did it once with State Farm and Geico.

I moved to CA about a year and a half ago, and have never been pulled over w/ the out of state plates on the freeways, however inside the area i am living in now, the local cops started pulling me over and started handing out the usual lame tickets for exhaust, window tint etc. I finally registered two of my vehicles in CA, but they are the easy two, next ones i'm not sure what i'm going to do yet. I do still have an out of state license, but that needs to change soon as thats one of the last tickets i got. And yes i tried the dual residence thing .... didn't have much luck w/ that.... maybe i will have to try it again, and just keep changing cars more often than i do now.
As for the original post, just park it and drive something else for a while, sucks to have to do that, but thats the best thing i've found to do no matter where i lived, have multiple cars, and change back and forth often.

Put on stock z body kit and keep the black grill. Or maybe a subtle after market n put a black mesh grill so with a black intercooler they can't tell even if they look. The hallowed out stock air box is a good idea, good luck with keeping all that power.

tim,
you might want to put a recirculating BOV on that stealth setup.
also, you want to consider running air-water intercoolers on your CA installs too. either that, or use bottom mounted intercoolers that direct air from under the front bumper through the intercoolers. either way, you won;t have the cop-attracting FMIC.
