procharger hp gain

LOL, I have searched, and I have made my own conclusions. Any FI is great. The procharger is good, and I like the results. But you do have to know the difference in the turbo and SC. The SC will have more immediate kick, meaning you will get a 0.5 sec "jerk" that feels good to most people cause it is like ol' muscle cars. The turbo will not have that immediate kick, but they will make more power throughout the rev range. The turbo can be at max boost at 3000 rpm, while the SC will be at half that. So the turbo will make more power at the same boost rating.
The SC will probably be less expensive, will make immediate power, and may come with a warranty. The turbo will only run when you need it, can give you more HP potential, and could be at max boost throughout the rpm range. It is all what you want.

Come on guys be nice to the Newbs!
You are confusing the terms.
A Procharger is a brand name of a Super Charger made by a company called ATI.
A POP charger is an aftermarket intake that simply alters the way the car gets its air into the engine. It is NOT a form of forced induction. Oh, and BTW, you can't use two of them at a time.

u can put twin turbo though right. adn that would give it a boost of like 150 hp right
"Boost" is the increase in pressure in psi (pounds per square inch) that is "forced" into the engine in FORCED induction (FI). It isn't measured in HP.
More boost into the engine means it gets more air. More air means it puts out more POWER. It is the engine's POWER that is measured in HP. The amount of HP gained with a turbo (single or twin) depends on A LOT of other things, but in general, the more BOOST (psi) the more HP gained.
***What the h3ll am I explaining this stuff for?? This doesn't have anything to do with Zaino!!!

Yeah, he is a newbie, but I think he just misspelled Procharger in his second post. He compared a procharger to a turbo. Then he asked about two prochargers in one car. Then, two turbos in one car. After that, he says, "give it (the car) a boost (another way of saying make it go faster) of 150 HP right".
It is common to have two turbos, but not two SCs. Since SCs run off the crank, if you even tried it, good luck in finding a belt for that setup.
Least that is my take, lol. Don't think (hope) he wasn't talking about two popchargers.....

Like I said earlier, you get that 0.5 sec kick with the SC cause it is on constantly, then after that, the turbo will rule cause it will put out more boost at lower rpms.
One thing that interests me is that a jerk (kick) is usually not good for mechanical parts. Smooth is always better. What that would mean to me is unknown for an SC. Alot of people just like to stomp on the pedal immediately, but I am usually gentlier on my baby. Seems like the turbo would be gentlier, although it would come on real strong when it comes on.
