it may not justify it, but any other shop would have run a mechanics lien on a bounced check....bam, no more Z. The reason for my post was to show that there are 3 sides to every story. Yours, theirs, and the untold. I wasn't down playing anyones situation....I was offering more of the story. I wasn't gonna say a thing until CHRIS REQUESTED IT. Now he's getting his panties in a bunch, calling me names and such. If you don't wanna hear it, don't ask for it. Plain n simple. I have no beef with you eddie...we're straight....just proofing my point. Chris on the other hand is making it personal.

Since Old Skool seems to think that all of the problems people have had are their own fault, I'd like to know where I messed up the transaction. See the attached PDF invoice for reference.
$5,500 deposit 1/10/08 (through SRD, not directly, I paid SRD $25k upfront)
$12,000 deposit 2/25/08 (through SRD)
$4051.80 - 03/10/08 (paid on my debit card directly)
That's $21,551.80 total.
I received my engine and transmission back on 4/15/08. I was missing the flywheel and several small pieces. I won't get into all the details of the problems with getting these parts back. The main issue is that an independent transmission builder took my transmission apart and found that it was STOCK! What were they doing from 1/10/08 through 4/15/08, if my transmission was never even touched? Now I'm concerned about the work that they claim they did on my engine as well.

I actually did not even pay those amounts. I paid more! I paid SRD and this was their invoice, but I took it over to finish payment for them. Anyway, I don't know what good prices are for each part, I am not the type that searches for pricing. I figure out what I want done and find a place that I feel can do it. Obviously, I was wrong about SGP on this front, but at the time (over a year ago), nobody knew there were problems with them. Within the scope of the $50,000 I've spent to modify my car, the $300 or so in savings on those parts is miniscule. I think the pricing for the other stuff was fair, but I don't know.
