Got fixed today
mine was cracked completely 360 degrees right where the wastegate attaches to the crossover pipe...reinforce that area well. The company that fixed it noted it was definitely the fault of the factory machine welds and it could POSSIBLY be related to weight of the pipes that this area carries. They looked for a spot to put hangers to help take off some stress, but there are no good ones.

The welder said this will be stronger than the original weld but they would not garantee it because it is what it is...a non-OEM mod. I'll be happy if it holds....the only thing that would be make happier is if PL sent me an improved version of the pipe when they correct it ...*ahem* *cough cough*.
FTR, about 3,000 miles on the kit when it gave out....if this is the only 'problem' with the kit then it still worth every penny

Since my thread is hijacked might as well just post something random about my DIY..
MAN spark plug replacement is annoying! That long harness that snakes around the engine is very annoying too with no way in sight to temporarily move it.

Got the right side of plugs done now I gotta do the left. Thinking about just lifting the whole plenum since I have to do injector's.
