Default APS TT on track goes into limp mode

Hey all.

just to start it off. I tried searching, but could't get firefox to upen up the link.

Anyway.

I have an aps TT 350z making around 330rwkw's and i took it to the track yesterday. At the start of the day i was hitting around 200-210 kph in 5th gear on a kink in the track. Then when i went to take a person for a ride in the car i thought i would show them the difference traction control makes in the Z. i only lasted half a lap before i had to turn it on (plus on the straight it wouldnt allow me to go faster then 140kph). on the next lap i got up to the kink, still doing around 210 or so and the car went in to a limp mode as it limited me to 1500rpm with tct off and slip light iluminated and the check engine light as well. I had to limp back into the pits and let it cool down, after an hour or so it started back u with no lights displayed and i did a couple of slowish laps to see if the car was handling well and if the temps were all under control *which they were*. Went back up to 210 and straight away it went to limp mode.

Now does APS kits have a problem with the Z going flat out in 5 or 6th gear on a slight kink/corner? I have never taken my Z up to these speeds on the street so it was a first for me.

Thanks for reading my long post and hopefully thanks for the help.

btw i was 3 seconds slower then a 997 turbo when i was having issues with the limp mode.

There is a very small chance that actually telling us what the CEL codes were might help us help you. I don't know if people realize that they are triggered for diagnostic purposes (in other words, to tell you what the car is sensing is wrong).

CEL codes and any data logs recorded during the event would be very helpful.

What year is your car as well? The electronic throttle bodies can fail and cause a condition similar to this.
