My Build: The Good, The Bad & The Progress
Chris,
It's a brilliant thing to get a car back to life after many troubles. Congrats on your success! Looks like you were, in the end, adequately taken care of. The tireless truism that states something to the effect of "all shops make mistakes, it's what a shop does to remedy the mistake that makes them great" comes to mind (ala Bert-O
). Enjoy the new power (I hear that the weather in that part of the country makes it unfeasible for DD RWD high hp cars after Oct so go out and beat on the brat!). Last, if you need anything in the exterior cosmetics/aesthetics dept, please don't hesitate to shout -- we're kinda known for the "all show all go" one-two punch that gets cars on front covers!

Looks like +50 hp more or so under 4500 rpms with the old setup, then like 20 hp less at 5000 rpms, then running out of steam again at the top.
With more fuel and a retune, you can prolly get back the area under the curve under 5000 rpms
Looking good!

^def would affect tq And hp numbers, my car picked up some power going from 4th to 5th gear back to back, 5th gear is a one to one ratio but don't know if he had different gear out in(I assume he would with those powerlevels)

WOW....I am more impressed with the way your car looks than i am with the powa...Not saying that powa is not impressive....I am just saying your car looks good. Thats the magazines lose for not doing a page on it.
615+ on a DD is no joke
.....so 11 to 13psi should be more than enough to handle most out there
Dont beat on it....I want to see you both at ZdayZ

I thought I had a better one from a lower, more straight on angle but it was blurry

Looks good and good numbers and im glad it finally worked out for you.Im sorry i didnt make it down but i got stuck at work longer then expected..............and that was on my day off!!!
+1 on the reliability.
either way, thats a ton of HP on the street! and painting that engine bay was definately worth it! looks GREAT!

I don't think looking for the last couple hp or feeling like something was "lost" from the last set up is a positive way to look at this new build. Every motor is different and if Dave is so inclined to be a little more conservative, I believe it's all in Chris's best interests with reliability being a high priority. That's a beautiful car with a great power curve and I think it's about d@mn time Chris got a chance to enjoy it.

Shootout mode is higher than uncorrected normal.......that being said, more fuel will allow for some more timing adjustments. Last thing you want to do when running out of fuel is begin to add timing. With the new fuel system and another 5+ pounds of boost (plus more timing modulation) should net significant gains.
I'll speculate...............................700 at 24psi

Disregard my other posts. I musta been looking at the old trq curve. d'oh! The curves look about the same, minus that last little bit of fuel.
Very impressive
