Make sure you find that 'loose wire'. What could be worse is that 'extra fuel pump' going away suddenly and causing a much more serious lean condition.

please dont let excitement about having a driveable car cloud what is really going on. If there is an unpredictable fueling/boost situation, there is no way Dave should be condoning WOT runs.

Yes, Dave sells the UpRev flash. I got it to remove the speed limiter, change redline and turn of the billion cel codes I throw.

I got you guys, I'm monitoring the A/F gauge when getting into it at all. Please show Dave some respect, when I was doing runs he was in the car with the laptop plugged in doing logging . Right now the car gets driven ~ once a week, but when its out it gets treated like Ike treated Tina (for the older guys).

Rain and possible snow showers for the next 4-5 days, so the car will just sit. My area is so hillbilly that they don't put down salt or de-icer on the roads, they drop cinders for traction instead . Once that happens, the car is away for good until the street sweepers come out in the spring.

Sorry quick hijack Chris....

With the Uprev can you have the ECU not throw certain codes?

Like if I wanted my random misfire codes to not throw CEL's and cat inefficiency it could? That way when I did get a CEL it would be for real.

See where Im going with this....

I know what you're thinking, but the issue is it just turns off the sensors to keep them from throwing codes. If your inspection plugs into the OBD port the sensors show as pending or not ready, so you fail anyway. The re-flash is good for what I mentioned above and helps the dash look slightly less annoying with the cel off.

I re-read your post and yes, you can turn off specific codes only. I know this because I currently have a cel light from installing the extra walbros because the fuel temp sensor has been disconnected.

Oh slap!

I know you guys were watching gauges the 1st 2 times the motor went. I know i'd be quite cautious.

+1 on the beginning of the cold winter.

So you have the triple pump going now? Hows it been with low tank levels?

Also a 2.2 -2.4k ohm resistor fixes that tank temp light. Thats what I used.

I decided on pearl white gauge faces with blue numbers. The gauges turn black with blue numbers at night when the lights are on. Acree did all the dash LEDs as well as the HVAC controls and the door controls. This mod was crazy labor intense and very technical, but Acree did a perfect job!! Acree has since gone back to school full time and is not doing this mod anymore to the best of my knowledge, but there was another member offering this service, however I cannot speak for his quality of work.

Dang I had a shout out and didn't even see it until now. That's how detached I've been from the 350z scene and the forums.

Chris the build looks great. I think your Z is faster than your R1 now, no?

For sure, the issue was too rich, not too lean, but I hear you bro.

+1 on the beginning of the cold winter.

Hard to say yet since the fuel gauge isn't working at the moment, the float is hung up, so I just get gas every ~200 miles, usually takes 12-14 gals at that point

Also a 2.2 -2.4k ohm resistor fixes that tank temp light. Thats what I used.

Thanks, we haven't even addressed the small issues yet, that is what winter wil be for.

What up Acree, just starting to work on your stuff. Is MS Word format functional? The R1 is a '99, so the Z should give it a run for its money.

For those that don't know:

Acree is the man at the interior LED mods!!

MS Word is perfectly fine.

I didn't bother to check the multitude of pages of the thread, but in case people haven't seen it, here is what the car looked like back in early July of 2008.

No prob Vas, what you are seeing is the V1 stealth mounted under the heavy tint portion of the rear window so its not visable from outside the car and it already senses front and rear radar, you may not be able to see in that same pic, but the V1 remote has been integrated into the rearview mirror and had the glass etched so the radar detector display is in the rearview mirror. I had the all red display chaged out to custom LEDs to idetify different types of radar based on color and had the green homelink LED changed to blue to match the rest of the interior mods.

Acree did this all for me in a day!! This kid is amazing, hard to belive he gave up this cash cow.

Maybe for enough cash he could be coaxed out of retirement

i bet with that noodle mess of hoses coming out of the triple pump, untangling that siphon hose to free up the float is prolly quite a chore.

Dave didn't have many nice things to say about it and asked if I wanted to replace it with the CJM setup, but SP makes them work and if its good enough for Tom it should be good enough for me. Plus I kinda got the ***** of buying things twice, ya know.
