Some others have gone the carpc route with the Halltech. They can chine in if they want to.

My problem is that the Haltech actual AFR displays are NOT the same as the AEM uego gauges are displaying. It's a rather large difference at idle, but very close when the motor is above 2000 rpm's. Will this new gadget allow for individual calibration of each sensor?

Are your AEM widebands tied into the Haltech, or is it reading the stock sensors? You can calibrate each sensor in the Haltech software as you like under 'Calibrations - O2 Sensor 1' and 2.

carPC can display tons of data, from stock CAN, stock widebands, to Haltech specific stuff. Very cool. I have 3 pages of various gauge displays that I can flip to with the push of a button on the steering wheel. Too much info really. I have 2 innovate guages that I have set for AFR (alarms if over 12 with psi over 1) and oil pressure. That's it for "real gauges". Everything else is monitored with the carPC: boost, intake air temp, coolant temp, oil temp, transmission temp, fuel pressure, oil pressure, rpms, ignition voltage - hmmm... i think there's a few more sensors but I can't recall...

I'll try it, Thanks Hal

Hal, I've got the new cable for the Haltech. Does Forged need to make new connectors to make this PNP with this wideband unit? Can you send Sharif the connectors to do that for dual sensors? The stock widebands are a tad slow, so I'm going to step up to this while my car is over there... thx. If the new cable has the connectors on there (I am using the boost solenoid, but there are 2 other connectors hanging off there...)

The wideband wires do not have breakouts. I would recommend either soldering in or using a high quality connector such as deutsch connectors. Power (C1), ground (C10), o2 bank1 (C7), o2 bank2 (C9) are all available on the same connector on the Haltech. If you or Sharif needs any help on this let me know.

Hal, have you got a pic with the gauge powered? Is it orange? I want to get one for each channel to ease the tuning process. They'll be hidden away in the upper glove box so I need to make sure they'll fit there too (2004.5 G35). I was going to add 2 more XD16 gauges to the innovate chain, but that seems like overkill - as long as these gauges aren't hideous, that is. Thanks!

rcdash, the gauge is red display. Here is a powered-on picture for reference.

Dual widebands look awesome - pics coming soon!

I couldn't find the calibration data for the Haltech dual widebands. Forged did a great install, but I'd like to get my carPC in sync... I know they are 0-5V, but I need the AFR calibration curve.

Thanks,
Raj

edit: I found this post. But this gives calibration curve for LC1 widebands. Can you confirm 0V=10 AFR, 5V=20 AFR?

Just installed my today. I had to cut the wiring loom going to the Haltech head unit. It would bea hard to pull the O2 sensor connectors through the firewall. I found a really good place for it:

Here you can see I already have everything soldered up and wraped with shrink tubing:

Just used some really short screws here to attach it to the top of the fuse pannel cover:

You can see where I pulled the two grey cables through. It worked out really well, all I do now is ropp them down behind the IM and connect to sensors.

Correct, Haltech Wideband fixed calibration: 0v = 10afr , 5v = 20afr.

Thanks guys. BoostedProbe, install looks good - thanks for pics. Chris @ Forged mounted in a similar location. That unit looks weatherproof - hope it is given where both of us have it mounted...

BoostedProbe, looks good!

Rcdash, I wouldn't hold it underwater for hours, but you won't have any problems where it is mounted there

We now have 12' extensions for the wideband sensors if needed to install the controller further away.

I installed the Dual wideband's and gauge yesterday myself too. Had to add total of 16'' of wire. No big deal. Got the wideband unit in the battery cubby stacked on top of the snow performance box. Clean install. And away from engine heat. Total install 2 hours. That includes mounting gauge and all. The Wideband sensor wires are just long enough for the Z. No complaints with me.

It's on the way, and no bungs. Any shop welding them in should have them on hand, if not let me know and I'll get some out.
