Default For those with the Procharger

My ATI kit is being installed right now and I was wondering if I needed to next day air the stock intake pipe (the black plastic thingy)? I put all my old parts up for sale and the first thing I was emailed about was the black stock intake tube.

Does ATI supply us with one that fits the kit or is the stock part used? For those of you that don't know, my Injen CAI is on the car which is about 300 miles away and I doubt that would work

Thanks in advance for your help.

You don't know what comes with the ATI kit and you bought one?

you need to send them the black intake pipe that has the Mass Airflow sensor in it. ATI reuses the one from the stock intake system. It's the short pipe that has the electrical plug in it. I also believe they'll need the 4 allen wrench screws that go along with it, but I'm not positive.

Default Thanks for your help

Ravaz, I assume you have a procharger? If you don't and can't help, this post is not for you. Hence the title of the thread

Thank you Jesse for your help. The black plastic pipe that has the mass air flow sensor is also used with the Injen CAI. I was actually wondering about the black plastic tubing that comes off the plenum. It is just over a foot long and in stock trim lays between the plenum and mass air flow sensor.

Looking at a couple more installs it looks like this pipe is not used. But I wanted to make sure just the same.

You're correct, this pipe is not used. The procharger kit provides a new one. Good luck & enjoy!

whosdady,

Right, sorry. I guess maybe I should have read the original post better. Yeah, you don't need that piece.
