I was told that there was nothing I could do to get the Carbonetics to hold....FP is installing the OS3 this week....matter of fact it may have already been installed

so are you flying back there for new numbers?

I guess realistically the car needs to go thru a whole nother break-in procedure for that clutch, so big # pulls are still a ways off....

that's how the sprint cars my buddie races is setup. They run cbr600 motors and they weld the clutch baskets solid. Bump start and blip the throttle to shift.....so sick.

their barrel pump was prolyl broken and they were trying to siphon the gas into the tank using a different pump

LOL
Mike, do you have solid motor mounts on your car? I figure since my motor is in my living room, now would be the time to swap.

Thats what both of them tried to tell me.....but you dont need a timer, duct tape and some other questionable things to siphon gas.................................................. .....J/K

No....I was given a ride in a car from a member on here that had them.....I could feel everything the motor was doing......not a mod I was willing to get.

that looks to me like he is trying to find the right mixture of additive to pass tech inspection for a spec fuel class, maybe? is that a spectrometer in the other guy's hand?

FAWK! I did them for better clearance on the new build. I figured I would feel some vibration, but how bad is it?

I wouldn't be surprised if opinions on solid motor mounts vary almost as much as opinions about what clutch is "steetable".

ya, there is a huge range of opinions. Pretty much have to get them and try them yourself.

Thats what I am going to have to do.

Be careful on that clearance. If you lower your motor, your sump will be on the ground. I'm going to use fender washers to shim back to stock height bc I dont want to lower my engine any.

I got IP ones, and I believe they are stock height.

the biggest question is, what exactly is stock height? Are they measureing the compressed or uncompressed. When we are talking in the 1/4" range, do the stock mounts even compress that much?
Either way, I went with the Revshift ones. They were $100 shipped and the guy said they are only like 1/8" shorter. Easy enough to shim to height with washers.

And Gord, at least I am not starting my own 'dreaming' build thread quite yet

Everything as far as I could see fit the same, height wise, with the stock vs the IP.
