Thats what I got

That being said, with my turbos, above about 23psi, the accelleration process is just brutal. Almost violent. I have stock motor mounts too.

an engine dampner would help and doesn't have all the negatives completely solid motor mounts do.

The other post below are correct...I may think feeling the vibration of the motor is too much...and then other may not think its that bad....But remember...I am someone that has my shocks setting to very stiff ..where other feel that the go-cart feel is no fun for street driving

I just want to have a car with alot of power that does not vibrate at a stop light. But then again I am the guy that hates open dumps

I say get a ride in a car with one installed and see what you think....There is a few on here with it.....There was a person on here also that had it remove because he did not like it....Just a thought.

I have had a set I made sitting on my tool box for quite a while because of this debate... This time I am thinking of doing it, and if its to bad I will have to take them out.

u are not doing that many 1/4 mile pulls... with all the mods you have i dont think you want the soild mounts....i didnt go for them.... i thought aobut engine dampener, but i heard it and didnt think it was that necesary.... streatability was an important factor in consideration... just upgrading something because its aftermarket isnt necesarly better.

ecept it only braces one side of the engine, which puts more strain on one mount vs another

if demand is there, we could do urethane, in a variety of durometer ratings

other platforms only use 1 soid mount (drivers side usually) and leave the other side stock.

I'm going to use both. I dont know anyone around here with a VQ and solid mounts otherwise, I woulda def tried. And the consensus of all the motor mount threads is that our cars do not react the same as other platforms.

I have a design concept and drawings generated. Now, we need to either get a 3D model of the G35 generated with the undertray so that we can run some modelling simulations, or we need to have a prototype made and put the car into a wind tunnel. It would be preferable to do the modelling simulations first, but we are not having much luck at gatting a 3D model we can use. And yes, we tried buying models off of Internet sites, and even though one of the models looks good visually, there are flaws in the underlying structure and it is not adequate for fluid flow modelling purposes.

I'll ask once again, if anyone has 3D modelling experience and wants to help with this project, please PM me.

I have solid mounts in my build and it took me a while to get used to. You def feel the vibration more through the steering wheel.

The only car I rode in that has solid mounts was my friend's EVO8 and it was a real headache, he is having alot of problems because of them.

ya but an Evo is not a G/Z. more than a few people have already said our cars do not ride like other platforms with solid mounts.

Blackbird, did you shim yours to match stock length? if not, did you shim your tranny the same distance to line it up?

that clutch is prolly 2 months back ordered. Wouldnt be surprised if the car didnt make any more numbers this year. Esp since people are waiting on it. Thats how it always seems to work
