Hey Mike, if you don't mind I will ask a quick ZdayZ question in your thread.

Forged Customers -- Are you planning to attend this year ?

So far I am fairly certain these are planning to:

XKR - Yes
ToastZ - Yes
stormcrow - Yes
rcdash - Yes
MadScientist - ?
Dil - ?
others - ?

It's kool... Because you have a legit reason why you are asking. But you should ask who are the FP customers that will be attending.

Btw.... I really don't think Raj will be attending this year

Ya I'm going to have to attach a tow rope to RcDash's car so I dont get left behind. Sharif is going to have to work some magic for my car to make enough power to warrant this much rollin resistance

custom 11" Rota's since I'm just a baby balla. Wanted to go 11.5" but the +30 offset was going to be cutting it too close to the suspension.

Surprised Forged even touches my car without Volks on it

That's the rumor but the final schedule is still pending... (integration with ZdayZ events not finalized) I suspect it will be a bigger, longer event with multiple classes... (NA and FI)

It will be interesting to see how those compare to the R888s I run the 305s on 10.5" wheels and it's within spec for the tire...

ya its their top road race tire, so we'll see. It will be better than any street tire no doubt. but at 5/32's starting tread, its almost bald to begin with. No better than a R888. I wonder why the Toyo RA1's arent more popular on the street. They have an almost full depth tread at 8/32's

Oh ya, plus they are mad JDM hella tyte yo

Both are supposed to be 6/32" tread to start with. I read a little bit on that tire and I've heard claims that it's made by Toyo with the same composition as the R888, just different tread design. I've also heard that they are not as good in the wet BUT they are quieter than the R888. The tread pattern differences mean that the NTs can be swapped left/right but the R888s need to be taken off the wheel on a rotation to maximize usage from camber wear. The speculation is that the directional pattern of the R888s help the wet traction over the NTs. Be careful driving through standing water I guess.

Let me know how you like those 555's. I have MT et street radial 305/35/18's. TONS better than a standard street tire for traction but they still spin through first at the dragstrip. I think i'll just have to bite the bullet and get bias ply's for the track.

I have my MT 305's on 18x10's and they seem to fit just fine even though 10" is the smallest recommended width for rims. I daily drive the car in the non-snow months.

theres no way you should be spinning thru 1st with those tires. your alignment needs to be checked. I use 275 M&H and can dead hook.

what turbos are you running though? Spool up time can be a significant factor there.

That's what i thought also. Is there a chance that our local track sucks? The only guys i see that hook are full slick at the track. I have a few mustang friends on drag radials and they spin also.

Car is aligned. I take it every 2 months for alignment since our roads tend to knock it out. I do'nt have the printout around but toe was stock spec and the camber was right at -2

you want your camber as close to 0 as possible.i have mine set under -1.5. next time you get aligned have them set it to about -1 and you get alot more traction

gboger, supercharger, same as Binder

ya, that's idea for drag racing. I guess i can have them increase the camber (therefore closer to -1) next time. I still like hitting some of the curves around here so i didn't want to take it all out. Thanks for the tip.

just leave your fronts with some more camber in them and you will be just fine.
