Even if they are not, my Greddy turbos sit up pretty high in the engine compartment and are somewhat protected by the front under tray.
I also think it's a better bet to not wrap it along with the ceramic coating. Some guys wrap the downpipes, which is where I would wrap it if anywhere, as keeping them hot helps exhaust scavenging which helps your powerband. Although never proven to my knowledge, I've always had a little worry about guys that coat/wrap headers and/or downpipes, as good insulation can hold in an intense amount of heat. What happens when you turn the car off, the coolant and air flow stop, and that heat is allowed to sit and soak back to the heads? That's the sole reason I decided not to wrap my custom manifolds (on my VG30DETT) with some of our aerospace insulation. It'd be so good that it could cause other engine problems.

Still no answer yet huh? Wow! I'd have thought someone would have tried this out before. So far what i'm reading is that no one really knows.
Could that really be the case?

Search other forums. As I indicated in an earlier post, a while ago I found a thread in a Corvette forum specifically pertaining to this subject.
