Default Procharger and cam replacement?

sorry if this has been covered in another thread... I just did a search and could find nothing definitive so I'm starting a new one!

Is anyone running a Procharger AND has replaced their cams? If so, is it any better than Procharger alone?

If this hasn't been done, is there any reason performance cams would not perform at least as well as stock cams under FI???

I'm thinking of getting cams now and adding FI later (after the TT kits come out). I don't care if they don't provide cumulative gains with the TT, but I don't want them to provide less power than the stock cams.

Thoughts?

A mild set of cams will help a FI setup. However if the cams have to much overlap it will hurt your power due to the overlaping open intake and exhaust valves. This will allow the fresh air and fuel to blow right out the exhaust. A supercharger is more prone to this than a turbo due to the extra backpressure caused by the turbos being in the exhaust stream, thus keeping the charge from leaving as quickly. They often sell cams for very popular motors setup just for FI. They increase the lift but ensure there isn't alot of overlap. So the quick and drity answer is the NISMO or tomei mild cams would be a safe bet. They don't have a ton of overlap but, beyond them I'd think twice. Hope that helps,
Gary

I would wait and see if somone releases a turbo cam. Other than that with a TT planned for the future I wouldn't spend money on installing an NA cam set into a future turbo car. The money you spend on a set of cams that may or maynot help your situation could be much better spent on somthing else. For instance a custom 3" turbo back exhaust. That would be alot less costly and alot more beneficial.
