Default Boost drops every 2 - 3 months

I am tuned at 9psi, every 2 to 3 months the peak hold boost begins to drop (as it is currently doing again), I posted a thread about having a boost leak a few months back trying to solve the problem. It turned out that the boost controller had just softened up and wasn't holding the pressure. I had since read and heard the the boost controller that comes with the APS ST kit is notorious for that... So I am looking at new boost controllers to pick up and fix this problem.

so Question 1 : What experiences do other APS ST owners have with this? and do any shops have any input on this?

Question 2 : I am looking at the Apexi AVCR and the HKS boost controllers, yays and nays appreciated.

Thanks guys

I wouldn't say "nuff said"

I've post problems with my EVC 6 numerous times. It does NOT like cold weather at all. but is still an amazing BC.

My EVC6 is practically unusable when temps are <40 degrees or so (overboosting like crazy). I know it's the EVC because if I shut it off the boost is stable. In decent weather like now it's pretty stable, holds within .1-.2 of desired pressure.

no issue with cold either i just turn down the offset a few points and its rock solid, that prevents the .5lbs overboost i saw. again 1/2 a lbs when its 40 degrees colder than when you set it up in completely acceptable in my book

HKS.

Cold weather issues, well just a little,... maybe 1psi at ~40deg and 2 psi at < 20deg.

Just push the button once and turn the dial to the left when scared, lol
