TN + build = biggest waste of money this side of a Stillen S/C setup

To many TN haters. TN is a good entry level for FI,but is limited to 500 whp or so like said above. The only reason I sold my kit is because it wont meet my power goals & I wanted my AC back.

dude u have nothing else better to do than in every thread u possibly find about turbonetics you always say it sucks. just because you blew your motor twice bein a dumbass runing a dumbass reflash and then racing without tuning your built motor doesnt mean its the kits fault. its your dumbass's fault.

I've seen a couple guys just over 500whp with a ton of work to make it happen... but as mentioned above definately not worth it.

Powerlab is the way to go these days, better kit all around and much easier to make power then the turbonetics. You should be thinking about your goals also, I mean some guys run in the high 300's and are happy, others want high 400's and above, definately not a wise investment if your going to go FI.

There's a couple guys running the Powerlab kits now with threads on their builds, check them out using the search. You'll find that alot of the turbonetic kit owners have had many problems.

Loved my TN Single when I had it. Plenty fast and could easily get you sideways in 2nd gear. If you are planning to push your HP or build the motor, then as others have said, PL in the better option.

If you get the PL, you should really consider having an experienced shop do the install though. The DIY crowd with the PL has had mixed results in terms of rattles and whistling on/off boost.

If you stay stock block and can be happy with <400whp then TN is cheap and relatively simple. However, if you plan on upgrading in the future for more power, spen the extra money now and buy the right kit the first time.

Oh, and BTW.... TWINS > ST any day!!

well if your on the same boat as me and a few others on these boards that had the turbonetics kit before the powerlab kit was released then all power to you. im going to swap out short blocks within the next few weeks or so brake the motor in and tune for 1bar spring psi. 14.5 psi hoping to be in the mid 45xwhp/tq dj. plenty of fun to be had at that power level and plenty of cars to stomp on. drag radials and some supportive suspension mods can get u into the high 11's. this is one of the forum members here running low 11s
with 8psi +50shot of nitrous on a drag setup.

and this is a 53x/53xwhp/tq dyno 18psi turbonetics also a forum member here.

do-able yes.
easier way to do it yes, get a powerlab if u already dont own a t.n kit. no arguement powerlab is better for a built block but even 500whp the tn kit can giv u its nothing to sneez at.

yeah 11psi on a tune that its shaky even at 8psi, then build the motor and run 11psi and still keep the same flash. your da man/thread. dont take off topic. we all know you hate the tn kit because it blew your motor twice on a flash . i hope you bought yourself at least a utec for your build. to the O.P if thats what you have dont worry about what people think its just forums.
