stang guys run those things out and i havent heard about any failures from the other vortech forums i read. The good thing if it does spin a bearing or the impeller starts to chip, it will just all get in your IC. Chances of anything making it into your motor are slim.

too bad you cant try the YSI. that thing is rated for 65000 rpms and flows a lot more than a t -trim

Would the YSI fit in the space given on our cars? Also there is a chance that it would mount up to our bracket as per Vortech, but I don't know for sure. Could you just imagine the possibilities.

The Ysi blower was used in this thread on a VQ35:

https://my350z.com/forum/shop-builds...5sc-final.html

However, it was done on an FX35 which has a lot more space in the bay...and the numbers where not as mind numbingly powerful as expected...maybe because it is an FX35

OP, when you got your Reicherd Racing pulley, did you have to have it modified or does the pulley work straight up from them?

Let us know how that pulley goes....let's see if that pulley is a destroyer of belts...but man, no slip at ~17psi is pretty impressive...

ya that thing would own every car on this forum. 500 ft lbs by 3000 rpms is absolutely sick.

Plus the dyno lst rpm signal at 6300 rpms, so imagine that thing running out to 7k+

Heck, over 400 ft-lbs at 2500 rpms is pretty incredible.

Like the say, there is no replacement for displacement....

Pharm, how is that blower doing spinning it that fast? is it still holding up?

i'm thinking of raising my rev limiter on my built block to 7500 rpms which will spin my Sc trim super fast also. The shortblock was balanced out to 10k rpms so i know it should handle 7500 but i haven't decided if reving to 7500 would be worth it. I do have ported heads and 264 cams.

No problems so far with the blower and it's working beautifully.

I dont see why not if ure motor is built for it. I wish I had pnp my heads and gone with a little more aggressive cams but I'm still happy with my results. I just cant believe how much the T trim flows at idle and it's really loud compared to my old blower. GL with your SC trim and I cant wait to see someone else surpass my numbers

good to know. i guess i'll spin the crap out of mine and see if it explodes. lol

I highly doubt i'll be making 560 on an SC trim. I'll be happy with 460!

PharmD,

Now I know what I can do when I get bored with 466 rwhp...just upgrade to a T-trim! Congrats. Way to represent the Vortech crowd.
