Forced induction plenum mods for Daily Driving Questions
My goals for my Z are reliability, daily driven, pass emissions with cats installed (not visual check), dont need crazy power because i dont like not getting traction until 4 gear. Right now im very happy with the power i have with a greddy kit @ 7.5psi of boost etc etc.
I am going to rebuild oem or build my motor depending on what my tuner/rebuilder recommends for my goals. This will happen within the next few weeks (at least the motor pull will). I also plan on getting a new ems and new tune, again depending on what my tuner recommends, and removing my unorthodox pullies for stock pullies or the fancy balanced ones if have extra cash.
My question is i was looking into some stealth mods (since thats my theme) and came across the plenum spacer.
In my price budget i found:
Z1 5/16" spacer Angled
Powerlab 3/8" Non Angled
For $100 bucks more skip the spacer and get the Kinetix V+ Plenum
In the same price range of the Kinetix the motordyne thermal spacer non angled.
All four fit stock components. Does angled really matter? These spacers were created to fix the oem design flaw of not putting enough air to the front cylinders so wouldnt they need to be angled to correct this? At this point i have been leaning towards the Kinetix but if gains are minor no point in spending the extra cash.
Thoughts? Experiences? Thanks for looking

Yes greddy turbo kit is not legal in CA. Sometimes i get lucky and find a shop who doesnt care as long as you pass.
So the angled spacer selling point doesnt matter? I will look into the motordyne one and see what kind of prices I can get, thanks.

They don't care. It's YOUR car. Just hope you never get stopped for inspection.

everyone selling a used Vortech kit already has a turbo kit or they are too far away for a swap.I figure i have a month once my car goes under the knife to figure out the condition of my kit and put it up for sale. I have no stock parts to go back to stock.
