Default Finally, tuned my PROCHARGER..look inside!

I just got home from Paul's Automotive in Cincinnati and got a chance to dyno tune my car with the Procharger and Borla Dual exhaust. Needless to say, I was impressed with the numbers....We dynoed in 4th and 5th gear, with 4th yielding the most power....370.8 Horsepower and 299.2 ft/lbs of torque!! The conditions were great, about 60 degrees and low humidity. Our baseline run without tuning the FMU yielded 343 horsepower, meaning an extra 27 HP just from SLIGHT tuning! I have the dyno graph if someone is willing to host I can send through e-mail...thanks!

I wonder if you'd be able to hit over 400rwhp with the rest of the bolt-ons...

Feels like it' ready to run with some lS1's!! I will be taking it to the strip tomorrow night so I will let you know...hopefully it cracks 12's. This is only the beginning though...internals and injectors are next...then it will be time to boost the crap out of the VQ

400 shouldnt be impossible with the other bolt-ons such as :
1. crawford Plenum
2. Cams
3. Headers (sitting in my garage)
4. Grounding Kit
5. Iridium Plugs
6. Larger injectors (they seem to be maxed out looking at the dyno curve...there are spots where it looks like the engine is starved for fuel)

Time will tell.....

Right on, I'll take some torque from you as well if you feel generous!

I assume you have a 5AT? Your numbers are almost identical to mine (368 rwhp and 298 rwtq). I assume you have a 5AT only because autos seem to have a greater varible between hp and tq. I have the stillen exhaust and thats it. I'm ready to put high flow cats, crawford plenum and ecu upgrade as soon as it is an option. 400rwhp should be an easy number to hit. With these upgrades, first night at the track I got a 13.1 with 90 degree temps.

Default Thats strange

I would have expected a smaller variance between your hp and tq with a 6 MT. If you look at others that have posted... You will see guys with 6 MT's that have 345 rwhp and 296 rwtq or 360 rwhp and 299 rwtq. Your rwhp is much higher while your rwtq is average for a 6MT. The lower numbers could be caused by different dynos but the smaller varience?

Default af

keepupp,

How did they measure your AF. Did they stick a sniffer up
the tail pipe or did they install a wide band o2 sensor?

Also, what AF ratio did you get throughout the rpm range.

thanks,
rob

ps. congrats on those awesome numbers!

They used a wideband o2....it was at 12:1 most of the way through the rev range. The Aeromotive FMU kinda sucks cuz you cant adjust the fuel enough. It would be nice to adjust every 500 rpm or so. 370 rwhp is about 450-455 at the crank.

Do you guys think the DFMU & SAFC-II would be a good combination? I would think you woul first be able to set the general fuel range with the DFMU, then modify it by +/- 20% in increments of 200rpms. Kinda like to give the the fuel system a little nudge as the boost hits towards the end of each stage where it probably beingins to lean out a bit.

S-AFC II would be perfect to dial everything in perfectly. Fuel presssure is so innacurate even run to run. The S-AF probably wo't net much power up top but shodul be able to smooth things out nicely.
