BUILT GREDDY TT and Stock Exhaust
hey guys i have question, since my build is almost complete (greddy tt, built shortblock), and im slowly but surely almost out of money, i may not be able to afford a decent exhaust. i dont wanna buy an OKAY exhaust then later on try to sell it for another one. i would prefer to buy it once and be done with. So my question is how much power do you think i can make on the STOCK EXHAUST with a greddy tt, wastegate spring set at 8psi and a built bottom end???? thanks in advance.
to answer your question.. 340 - 380 whp

i made 450rwhp through stock y-pipe, mid-pipe and muffler on fresh built motor (SP TT).....but it was uber laggy due to all the back pressure.
just yanking that exhaust cause boost to jump from 11psi to 24+psi at same boost setting....yes that restrictive!!!!!

backpressure in a boosted car = added heat in the cylinder = detonation = having to tune for way less power to avoid said detonation.

that probably the best way to keep sleeper look, keep sound low.....until 'full" boost kicks! :eek;
Yes, it will be loud - and I am not sure what you are doing for engine management but you will need to go over the tune again when you make a huge change such as stock exhaust to something free flowing.
