Default SP boost activated exhaust cutout

We just finished up our newest product and wanted to post up and get some feedback/interest from all the FI guys here.

We've installed hundreds of cutouts, (electric & manual) they either
A. Leak
B. are slow to open
C. Don't like antilag LOL

We decided to make a high quality cutout that is driven by boost, similar to our quick spool valve for turbos. Once you hit your desired boost level, the exhaust valve opens instantly, you do nothing, no switches, just let it rip. It closes automatically and you're back to your normal exhaust routing.

Here is a little video of the BIG 4" one we made for a supra build.
SP Exhaust cutout

We will be offering these in 2", 3", 4", and possibly some half sizes if needed.
We use full stainless so no worries on rusting, or bending like other products out there.

I'll snap some pics of it completed this week (waiting on stainless tubing to finish the rest)

Thanks
Chris

In for installed videos.

Also, are the turbo/supercharged guys the only ones who can benefit from this? What about nitrous?

coming soon Chris

Actually, we can adapt a vacuum actuator so even naturally aspirated guys can use this product!

if they can add a vac operated actuator rather than a boost operated one, then it would just be a matter of using a vacuum switching valve to allow the signal to it only when the nitrous was armed.

I was thinking more along the lines of somehow wiring it to my window switch (which is only activated when my set up is armed). That way, the cutout would only work when nitrous is armed, going WOT, and within the specified RPM range.

I've been looking at cutouts for a while for the drag strip, but never fully decided on it.

Interested as well, I assume you'll have to re-tune for this since the difference in backpressure will be going up and down as you boost or not.

Is there a certain section that it has to be installed at? Front, middle, or end of the exhaust system.

SWEEEEET!!!!
I remember back when Julian installed some electric cut-outs in his stock block APS TT Z. He gained something like 40-50 rwhp from that mod alone.

My guess is ideally you would want it right off the down pipe(s) on a turbo setup...get rid of as much back pressure as possible.

ATP used to have something like this and discontinued it for some reason. I read on some forums about an issue with them leaking over time. How do you address this issue? I think many of us pick exhaust systems for performance when with a device such as this we might pick one we really like for sound quality, but have the benefit of maximum performance. Kudos...

I personally can't wait to get a true dual quiet set up with cats, from Motordyne. I was anticipating having to manually remove the interchangeable components to achieve the level of performance my set up is capable of, but this is a great option... (if implemented well, hopefully)

EDIT: just saw video - looks well implemented, if somewhat bulky... very fast.

The site says VES-MAIN-VALVE-UNIT - out of stock again until unknown date due to production delays. But talking to them on the phone it appears that they are no longer producing it.

Looked like a nice piece except the pipe cut into you exhaust flow at 90 degrees which is not great for flow at all.
