More power to the DIY people. I know my mechanical limits, so I just pay the more skilled people to deal with the minor hiccups mentioned in this thread lol. I would be ready to push the car off a bridge.

With that said, I tried many times with both intercoolers to get them to fit. I had all of the bolts loose (brackets and fmic) and tried many times to line up even one bolt on the right side but they are just too far off. The IC won't sit flush on the brackets on one side (and no it's not because I tightened one side, it won't sit flush vertically even when held against the brackets by two people. It seems to be that the angle machined on the front of one of the brackets is different from the other one, although I haven't had a chance to remove and look at them right next to each other).
By any chance was this car involve in a front collision? I installed a kit on the past (not GTM) and I was having problems fitting the bumper bar after removing it, I had to do some minor modifications for proper fitment to find out later the car was involved on a minor collision which cause the bumper support to shift lightly. After removing the bumper bar I had to use a grinder enlarge the holes to put it back on. So it was not the fabricators or installers fault.

Thought about that but, the car has never been in a collision.

i dunno, GTM barely made that with a 4.0l motor.

Z1 only made 763 on a dynojet with Q16 gas and built heads. https://my350z.com/forum/shop-builds...e-tt-vq35.html

if it was that easy to make 800 on those turbos that use smaller housings than GT30's, I'd consider than kit forsale by injected. I havent seen many single gt3071 400 hp dynos.

Just keep cranking that boost

and that was at 6000rpm (actually like 5950rpm)....didn't quite get to peak power.....prolly would have done like 15more hp or so not a whole lot more (peak is at 6250rpm on stock cams)....

pro-efi shut stuff down cause we hit the boost cut setting (larry didn't raise it and we hit 30.5 psi on a 30psi boost cut)....we figured that was enough power for that day lol

The kit barley made 855rwhp with a 4.24L Stroker, oversized valves, race fuel, aggressive port and polish, etc.

On my car I made 712 pretty easily with the APS extreme (I have a 4.15L stroker, ported heads, 288 cams, etc) and I left it at that because I knew the kit would be out of its efficiency much past that. I didn't want a number that was "difficult" to achieve.

Good luck though! (stylin z)

Fact of the matter is you have to look at where GTM stands. They are far ahead of the market and have the reliability to back it up. One of the best investments i made. I think i have read about 1 unhappy customer and im not going to shine on it because i dont know all the history behind it but i can def say i have spread the good word for these guys they deserve it.
