Default osiris uprev map question

im getting my car tuned tmr with the osiris uprev.. the different maps to choose from are anti theft, economy, valet, race gas ect..

i have a turbonetics st kit (i kno the kit sucks spare me.. it was cheap and im gonna make it work i upgraded all failed parts) anyways they are suggesting to just keep the valet, anti theft and a normal tune to 8psi.. i want an economy tune to like 3 psi that i can cruise around with everyday and when i want more boost i can manually turn my boost controller nd switch maps.. is this a crazy thing to ask for?? i understand i would have to change my wastegate spring to be able to adapt to both... they are acting as if this is unnecessary. input would be much appreciated

The idea of a 3psi economy tune doesn't make much sense to me. If you want economy, just stay off the gas don't load up the turbo.

3 psi? Might as well not even be turbo at that low of boost. Maybe that's just me. But yeah I agree just stay off the gas and don't floor it =) I save gas when I'm not gunning it everywhere. Even on my economy setting I don't even notice any difference in fuel economy. Maybe it's because all I do is city driving, I don't know. I never use that setting.

dude youre only increasing the chances of messing up somewhere... between map switiching and boost control switching, all it takes is one wrong move and you might end up going BOOM.

not a judegment on your skills or thinking capacity, but a precaution man.

that all makes sense.. thats basically what my tuner said... was to lay off the gas when i dont want it boostin..and i guess that would leave more room for error with me switchin maps all the time.. cool thanks for the help

i guess i sholdnt have used the word "economy" the only reason i called it that is because thats what the referred to that map as.. i wasnt really wanting the low boost to save on gas. but more to save on stress on my bottom end.. but again i guess i can just lay off the gas when i dont wanna put stress on it..

I'm tuned on Osiris too and my tuner gave me an economy map... Just leaned out power map a little bit and there you go. Like everyone's saying, don't mess with the boost settings, it'll just complicate things. When I'm cruising on the freeway or wherever I'm only at like 2000-2500 RPMs and I'm not in boost anyway.
