Default HELP!! My car wont start!!

I have a 2004 350Z with a Turbonetics turbo kit on it. It has a Turbo XS Utec on it. I bought it like it sits. Ran fine when I got it. Now its acting strange. It had 550cc injectors and no tune on the Utec, so I'm guessing it had a Turbonetics reflash on the ECU.

The car was running rough and I found that the number 5 cylinder has having misfire issues. Pulled the plug and it was all fouled up.

Ok, changed the plugs... still ran like crap.

Swapped the Coilpacks around... still the #5 misfireing.

Ok... "stuck fuel injector," I think.

Changed all the fuel injectors to new derschewerks 600cc ones.

Now it won't start at all.

I put the some stock fuel injectors in it and unplugged the Turbo XS unit and plugged in the ecu straight into the harness.

Still wont start.

The engine turned over, but it wouldn't fire up.

Put the new 600cc injectors back in, put the Utec back on, loaded a new map....

wont start

used stock map...

wont start...

I'm really confused now.

Any ideas????

Please help me out.

So it's cranking but won't turn over? Or is it not even doing that?

And how long after you got the car did it start doing this? Days, months?

Sorry to hear about trouble. But seriously, you ran Forced induction Z, and you don't even know if it tuned or not. Just go ahead take it to local VQ shop or near.

It'll turn over, but wont fire up.

It was just a few weeks. I was able to put a few hundred miles on it. I have a wideband, and it was running perfect air/fuels on both part and full throttle.

Then one day out of the blue it started having these issues.

I hooked up the my computer to the Utec and it didn't have any maps loaded on it, which of course made me worried. When I pulled the manifold and looked at the injectors I saw that they were not the stock ones. I know that turbonetics kits come with 500cc injectors and they used to offer a reflash (not sure if they still do).

I've checked the fuses and relays, fuel pressure is good, etc.

Now the radiator fan tuns on when the ignition is on, what the freak is that about? The A/C controls are all off and the car is cold.

I'm really confused.

when you say it ran like crap what do you mean by that?? I hope its not what I think it is.

Bring it to a VQ shop asap... best of luck!

I know the Utec wasn't tuned. There was only the Turbo XS map1 loaded in it. I loaded the map for the Turbonetics kit from their website myself. I know there is no way the car would run perfectly on those injectors without at least a reflashed ECU.

When I say it ran like crap I mean it was misfiring and the #5 injector was fouling up the plug.

yeah but just loading the map from turboxs or turbonetics.. doesnt do much. Ive loaded the map from turboXS to my utec my self too.. but that was only really to just drive it to the shop and rescale the injectors. Which means you shouldnt be going into boost ( better safe than sorry ) That doesnt do any good. I hope you didnt run the car hard like that!!

oh and what other mods do you have done to it? completely stock? just turbo kit? no exhaust, spacer, any of that sort?

Sounds like an injector scaling issue. The 5th cylinder misfire definately sounds like a tuning issue... However if there is oil getting into the cylinder that will also cause a misfire for sure.
