I guess its common sense but make sure he flushes all of the oil lines before hooking everything up again. i have seen people forget to flush the oil feed lines bolt up a new turbo and pump some stray bearing material through the new turbo

lol...I've seen much worse.

aside from that, never reuse an oil cooler or oil/water heat exchanger (such as the stock one) after having a bad engine failure.

Charles hit me up on aim.

Wanted to pick your brain.

I suggested to get the intercooler and all pipes hot tanked.
and since motor is pulled have all the lines flush out with gas.

One of those sad mistakes easily prevented... I seriously doubt it was an intentional run at 22 psi - boost must have spiked with no overboost protection. For all we know someone else mucked up the turbo wastegate install and the poor tuner walked right into a trap. No way to know.
