I am not aware of any shops who participate in this forum who are in St. Louis. I am aware of Sound Performance Racing in Benseville, IL, Injected Performance in Lexington, KY, and Forged Performance in Marietta, GA. There may be other reputable shops near you, but I don't know who they are. If the proprietors of any such shops are reading this, please post your contact information.

OP, you can use the forum's search function to do get a wealth of information on the shops I have noted. Also, you may want to speak with them directly.

I don't want to see flaming started. Notwithstanding, OP, it is incumbent on YOU to do the research. If you ask additional questions that have previously been asked and answered, in which case you can find the answers with a simple search, I will close this thread. In other words, you now have information that you need to start your research, and it is expected that you will do that research before posting additional questions.

OP, you might want to start your research with the following threads:

https://my350z.com/forum/forced-indu...for-noobs.html

https://my350z.com/forum/forced-indu...ng-thread.html

Also, some of the shop builds are listed here:

Hey thanks man i will have to look up that shop in Benseville, IL. And i guess i shoulda used the search button but i also wanted to post my progress and pic's cause i know i love looking at all the builds and seeing what everyone dose. And yes i did do my reasearch on the turbo kits. turbonetics and aps no longer have there SINGLE turbo kits on the market. Well atleast i called every place i could find and both turbonetics and aps and both said they dident have any left. Wile the aps twin's are still avaible.. too much money for my budget .. also the other kits dident spark my atention.

I don't want to see flaming started.
Terry - I would hope that you would at least allow some flaming if they are first post F/I thread starters. Don't forget, tradition is important too and this is the process we use to weed out the weak .

If you can't handle your noob flaming how are you possibly going to be able to handle the inevitable issues that will happen during a build.

I know Chris, I'm taking some of the fun out of it.

I'm addressing those starting threads asking stupid questions they can otherwise find answers to with a little searching. Just last night I deleted a thread and issued a warning.

Gotta agree with both sides but lately there has not been many threads anyway and some of my favorites have been the flame fests with FAIL videos. It is tradition.......

The FAIL videos are fine, and I'm not going to delete satirical posts that are clean. Moreover, there is nothing wrong with questioning posts. The issue becomes when people launch direct attacks on someone else who has a different opinion just because they disagree with that opinion. Oftentimes the people launching the attacks are just plain wrong.

I'll give one example that comes to memory. Probably about a year ago (before my thread on the subject), one person made a post inquiring about building a twin-charged FI system. As soon as he did, the attacks were launched, even though that person had a valid, interesting concept to share with the forum. Those attacking him probably were just ignorant that it can be, and has been, done on our platform, and were really doing a disservice to other forum members who actually found the post to be an interesting topic to discuss.

I remember that twin charge thread and the flaming that went on and I can also remember thinking you were going to get flamed when you brought it up again but yours turned out to be an informative thread. I think that if people take some time to do some research and then bring those ideas to the table along with supporting evidence things go much more smoothly as your thread did. I do think that when people first get on here they really have no clue how ridiculous they sound when they pose a question like "should I go Turbonetics or Greddy twins and I'm looking for 600+hp?" They just think they are being cool and we are all going to just spill out information to fulfill their "build dream". What really drives me crazy is when some newb get on and sounds like a punk using words like cuz, wit, dat and such. This sort of grammar makes me feel like I am on a honda forum. Didn't mean to take this thread off topic but I do have to give props to the op for sharring pics, I will be even more impressed if he sticks with it, continues to take pictures and someday has a completed twin turbo build, though we all know most likely this will not happen. I wish you the best op, you have shown that you can take something apart but now we want to see it all come together.

It is very helpful when people do some research before starting a new thread. Perhaps a reminder should pop-up everytime someone selects the "New Thread" button.

Well I guessed I messed up with the first post. I wanted this thread to just show my progress . Only question I had was about the reptutable shops around st.Louis because I failed to find any. But thanks for the help . My advice on the greddy twin's is that u must remove the engine to be able to install the kit properly, unlike some others. My moneys tight right now so it looks like I might have to postpone my project till xmas.

The flaming can serve as a way to set boundaries as to what is acceptable to start new threads about and what kind or much infomation needs to be contained in it. My first post in FI was a very uninformed question about a swap I had done very little research on and in a few responses I saw quickly that the spoonfeeding of information does not take place on this forum.Sometimes a little humiliation can serve as great motivation.
To the OP.Good luck with your build and keep the pics coming

There are several reputable shops in the STL area. I do not know how much experience they have with the VQ platform. That would be my only concern.
