my 2011 and Beyond! build thread.
i hope it doesn't take 6 years like it did for them to release the I/O box.
I don't care about touch screen but i want map switching real bad so i can change maps on the fly or by the fuel.
That I/O box was shown at SEMA 2010 and still isnt useable yet.....
On the front end, the haltech gets expensive. But still is the fact that the tuner network is huge and the software is very user friendly. Jason and Larry tune the proefi on dealer boxes that are 100% live updateable. The dealer boxes are super expensive so very few tuners would get them. Would take forever to setup a new car by having to create and reflash new roms for every major change.
Thats why Haltech is a much more viable option and if/when those other parts are released for the VQ PnP, it wont be too expensive for current users to add-on.

I had to change the oil pump in all of my last four engines, so it becomes a regular thing to think about.

I have to give credit to Haltech for really stepping up to make me happy once I had enough with their runaround even though it should of never got to that point in the first place.

^same
Even though I am building the motor and possibly have a ticking time bomb on my hand, I am going to be going back to the haltech tuner to get the car tuned properly so I can at least enjoy the car for a few hundred miles before the motor is pulled.
