As far as time slips, Bri, I give you props for your time. Jon is more set up for highway rolls than the strip. Still hoping the 3 of us can meet up for some fun this summer Berto.
Hahaha give yourself a little credit Cass i'm positive you would've beat me if you wouldn't have lost your boost on that last run

It will be an uphilll battle to get any part of the rebuild compensated for.

Luckily you built your own motor, so tear down, refresh from IPP, and rebuild wont cost too much. You can make a new thread on how to refresh your motor without going broke!

good luck!

Yea Im assuming that much, luckily a refresh from IPP wont be that much, since Itll be out though again I most likely will end up changing this around will the build since its out now haha.

Yea I guess I could make a thread on that lol....I think this thread is dead now, most likely make a new one in the fall when I pull the motor

The car was beat on at the dealership when I first built it (only 78 miles on the fresh motor). Since then I have been having HORRIBLE blow by with the car and it appears the rings are toast.

i wouldnt call the rings toast until you perform a leakdown and determine exactly where the oil is coming from.put a bore scope down the spark plug holes and look for wet piston tops as well.

weird, the race bike motors i bulid usually get started, they idle to operating temps, i have my racers do 2 medium laps (75% race pace) then i bring them in, change the oil and then they beat the **** out of it 100%. All wear great.

wonder if there was an issue with the clearances from the start.

new rings isn't an issue. small stuff.

Yea I know, this sets me back for a while....and also looking like a jackass till I can get the car re-ringed (if that is the real problem) and solving the blowby issue. Doing the leakdown test this afternoon so I'll know more by tonight and post the results.

It is good news. I thought he posted already. Jon was busy helping me pull the motor from my pile of fail and then went to work on his car to reroute the catch can again. I will let him post results and the new config.

Thanks again for helping with the final steps to pull the motor and letting me borrow the hoist
