def in for updates.. pls tell me you'll keep us posted.. what are your initial impressions of the upgrade so far?
impressions of the upgrade so far is good. car is a completely different animal. of course, as stated before, it spools later but it seems to compliment how it is on the street. the powerband is actually more controllable with the later spool. feels more linear then the original 18g's. ill get our customer to do a write up on the hta upgrade and post in this section later on today or tomorrow. me personally, i love the upgrade but it is an extra 1300-1500 on top of what you pay for the greddy kit. if i couldve handled his build from the very beginning, we wouldve talked him into getting the gtm kit and called it a day. it is a def. upgrade that is needed though from the original 18g owners looking for more power!
here is a pic showing the difference. the HTA has much less material, 1 extra blade, and the blades are longer since more metal is removed. you can see how the HTAs hub is smaller.
the top left turbo is the FP HTA3582R upgrade. sorry i thought that was the turbo in question. id be willing to bet they upgrade wheels, then just mill out the stock housing to fit.
this is costing me 2k and that includes painting the engine bay, wrap the door jams and the leftover material. This preserves stock painjob and is more resistant to chips. All in all i think it's cheaper, stronger, and better.
Wow I've never seen a whole car wrapped in vinyl before. That's pretty cool! How long is it supposed to last and what kind of maintenance is required to preserve it?

I believe the company who makes it warranties it for 10 years. I believe the maintenance is just soap wash and towel dry. However i do still have some research to do on that.

The way it's been broken down for me is this. I paid 2k for the job, 700 of that was for the product itself, it's special ordered from germany and took over a month to come in. The remaining 1300 is for the labor. After the job i'll get to keep what's left on the roll, i'm told it will be over 1/3. They will either re-wrap a damaged section or i can have any sign shop do it for me or even attempt it myself.
the roll itself
My rear end, planning on putting a matte finish on my tail lights...
so u have the car back, where's the high boost dyno sheets?
I do not have the car back, it's at the vinyl shop but will be back at forged tomorrow for more testing. I just got off the phone with sharif and he said i'd have the dyno sheets today. I'll put them up as soon as i get them!
