Default Blown HR engine!!!!!!!!

What happened:

I was going in 3th gear around 5K RPM full throttle and with 8.5psi (0.6 bar WG springs NO BC) and the car start hesitate in power then I immediately let off the gas then heard something like small metals going throw the exhaust and the engine died. so stoped the car and there were oil all over the street.

When i took it to the workshop and dropped the engine out, I couldn't believe my eyes!!!! the whole thing is ****ed up

Parts list:

1-GTM HR 350Z (TURN KEY) TWIN TURBO KIT STAGE 1
2-GTM SPEC 3" DOWNPIPES re-circulating TYPE
3-OS GIKEN HR QUAD PLATE 4-CLUTCH
Greddy Turbo Ti-C Cat-Back

the tune was GTM REFLASH included from GTM with the kit.

Until now we don't know what was the problem but Sam and I are exchanging phone calls and emails to analysis what went wrong.

Welcome to the party:

And what used to be a piston

The heads are fixable and will cost ~$1200 and will order the Stage 1 short block for a VQ35HR from Kyle@IPP next week.

Discuss!!

So it wasn't tuned... it just used the "Re-Flash" that is suppose to be good for every car?

That sucks big time. The only thing I'd possibly use that reflash for is to get it to a shop so it could be dyno tuned.

Wow that is bad I am sorry for you loss, I hope you can get this worked out as quickly and as cost effectively as possible. Have you pulled the heads off I am curious what the valves look like? Cause when mine went it destroyed the valves also. Keep us posted.

2nd HR. That kid in Florida looking for an intake was the first.

Edit: LMFAO at that shattered piston. Not laughing at your misfortune but that **** just grenaded.

Why did you never have it dyno tuned?

nope, not even close sir. many have gone boom, unfortunately we dont hear about them as often here on the forums. but the HR's being boosted are growing and unfortunately we will be reading more and more as they start busting and the shops who originally did the builds get return customers at a much higher price tag.

Right when I want to boost mine. I'd like to know what shop(s) you speak of and what the cause of failure was for the others. PM me if you have any info that you are able to share.

im just generally speaking about the shops. not saying its their fault but that's the vicious and expensive cycle many members end up going through.
