Default Your Thoughts On This TT JWT700 G35...Deal or No Deal???

Ive been back in the market for a TT G, and I have ran across 4 currently in the US that fit my needs and budget.

I know this one has been on the market for some time now and has drop in price to a fair market value.

With that said, does anyone know much about this car, build, owner or anything that could help me with my decision. You can PM if you like to keep anything off the boards.

Thanks in advance

I don't know why people make a thread about a car for sale here. Contact the seller via pm or go through their posts via search. Either way you will learn more about the car than we can tell you.

The OP most likely thinks that there may have been a build thread or that some other local F/I guys may know of this car and its history with the owner.

All I would say OP, is that it seems slightly odd that someone spent all that time and money on a build and then sold it after only 4K mi. Contact the seller direct and ask if he has documentation on the oil changes and if GTM can stand behind this car. The shops that do this much work remember these cars like their kids, for better or worse.

I put the thread up bc I would like to gather info on the car. I have attempted to contact the seller for the last week PM, and even on other boards and no reply so I figured with a build like this a lot of people would know the car/owner and ANY info would be great. Thats what these boards are for, right ok then....

Its not pointless, I have made threads like this on the M3 forum and bc of them received info that really helped me with my decision in buying that car. I mean come on the seller is trying to SELL the car therefore your not gonna get all the info you want.

+1 it makes sence I would ask around to see if any locals or FI guys know the car, I was talking about a Fi car with a buddy and he knew the car and told me it had been in an accident the owner failed to mention that

I would agree to contact GTM they should remember the car and possibly even have the milage of when the work was done. Also i would get compression and leak down tests possibly even another dyno to verify the numbers are there.

The white one is yours now? That was my co-worker Mark who sold it to you. He took me in a ride in it last year and that thing is incredible. And it was MINT too and the work was top notch. I hope you're enjoying it

After I rode in it, I wished I had not bought my Z years ago so I could have picked up this G from him.

Yup, I bought it from Mark. It's still mint. You'll have to tell Mark it's going through a major performance overhaul right now (bigger turbos, headwork, cams, meth, single fmic, etc.)

OP that G35 belongs to a friend of mine...car runs solid (i have been on several rides in the car..hauls @ss)...it was once the DSport Magazine Project car. Car is in great shape...never wrecked (that I know of)...fully built motor...tuned by GTM.

Actually, this seems to be more and more common place these days in the FI section. Guys are dumping 50 and 60k into builds and then turning around and selling for less than 30k.

He's terrible at selling a car. I was a LEGIT buyer for the last 2 weeks but he hasn't answered one of my posts on either board, too late now, as I just bought something else. But I happy I didnt as a have received PMs about seller and car which were very informative.
