I was hitting 140 in the bimmer, so I am sure the big dawgs were getting past that.

Any more than 600whp and you are asking for it if you are late braking. I would suggest that if there are going to be a significant amount of cars there next year with more power than this we may need to change the location so they can stretch their legs out a little more and not have to white knuckle it to get stopped.

I had a great time as always, made me miss my Z big time! Already considering trading the M6 in on another Nissan. There is a lot to be said about the people/community that we have here. I have not found this with any of the other cars that I have owned so far. Love the BMW, but will trade it in for the rest of what the Z car comes with.

Airstrip event was awesome. Raw power FTW

Thanks to those who gave me rides (Chris, Randy, Adrian)

Maybe one day I'll be able to elite top dawg competition.

Adrian hope you got your car working and were able to drive it all the way back to NY. And huge props to Sharif for taking the time to try to troubleshoot Adrian's car.

Still, I think Alex's car was dope as helll

Highest top speed for the bone stock GTR was with Sharif behind the wheel. After a LC2 launch at the very begining of the track we hit just slightly over 145mph and had just shifted into 5th I think.

Cars like this need to spread their legs ya know. Im surprised so many runs starting from 2nd.
This may have been a bit of my issue, although the gear shift stumble was my main problem, I'm realizing that my progressive gear based boost setup never got me up into my high boost range (4th gear). I was the only one running the 3.3 rear diff as well. My car is set for 9psi - 1st, 12psi - 2nd, ~16psi - 3rd, and 21psi - 4th & 5th.

I will have to rethink my entire setup from top to bottom to be competitive for next year. Wider wheels, drag radials, race gas tune, possibly swap the 3.5 rear back in and change the tune to do boost by speed and pedal position or something. There goes another $5K

-Miesterschaft Ti GT2 Section 3 (axle back) exhaust
-EVO Sport Underdrive Crank Pulley
-Dinan CAI
-RPI Ram Air Scoops
-Dinan Stage 3 software

Car has not been dynoed yet, but other M6s with similar mods are in the 410-430whp range on Dyno Dynamics. Not bad for a big *** car all motor... it needs 2 snails on it for next year!

Cass-we def need to meet up man, I'll give ya some pointers, the 3.3FD is sweet when used correctly and with a proper powerband to support it. You making the trek to OC, MD for the show/cruise/runs June 5/6? Im sooo looking forward to that weekend.

Joe-very nice, for $hits and giggles you ever run it? Im primarily interested to see what something like that would trap. Near 120 Id hope.

Stockish M6's run ~12.3 at ~117. So 120 isnt out of possibility with a few bolt ons.

Previous owner ran a 12.3 @ 119, I added the software and switched the Dinan CAI with the AFE hot air power loosing intakes that were on it when I bought it. I hope to get to the track in the next 2 weeks and see what I can do. Definately not like the yellow car, in terms of power, but has its own qualities. I just need another Z to play with and keep the M for the streets... The wheels are turning my friends... I have a few ideas I am tosing around... hahaha

Cuz at this point, I don't think 7 cars are gonna use the entire 6 hr time frame and a lot of the investment would be lost.

Oh and rcdash, there is a local track up here (Waterford Hills) that costs about $150 for the whole day with either BMW club or Porsche club.

So I guess I'll just ask directly, Sharif, is there any chance to lower the entry fee? I'm not trying to sound cheap or anything, just thinking out loud?
it was freakin $125 not $1000. if you are a poor college student no maybe you shouldnt do this. is it worth $125 for the type of experience and the chance to hang out with some guys who own some of the highest horsepower Z's, hell yes! how often do you get to gun it down a airport runway? i dont think they care the value aspect of this event, its more about the experience. hell i spend more than $125 when i got out to eat and that provides maybe 2 hours of entertainment.

It's an amazing experience - super nice folks and super nice cars, including a fully built all motor C6 putting 500 to the ground, a viper, a built up Pontiac G8, NSX, etc. (not to mention Hal's insane daily driver). So thrilling to just point at a monster car and say, let's run, all afternoon long!

Hey, were missing some super cool guys from this shot. What happened to Randy and Adrian?

Hard to put faces to screen names. I'm terrible with names, maybe someone else will caption the pics so I don't embarrass myself. I can't even remember the name of the guy with that little dog in his arms standing next to me there. I think he's some celebrity on the forums or something...

was that before the race started or after it was over... LOL

And in respect to the pricing... sometimes you have to pay a little extra for convenience... the closest drag strip is still about an hour or so away from the airstrip... Forged simply found the closest location to Fontana that would be willing to accommodate a group of nuts driving down their airstrip... we enjoyed the event!

I retract my opinion about the pricing. It was an awesome event even as a spectator and worth the money.
