Pushing the Limits
I dunno... Every premier member here has been very helpful to me during the course of my build.
It has more to do with how you talk to them. Its like talking to a person with a gun, if you treat them with respect they wont shoot you (most of the time). However if you **** with them of course they will shoot you.

I was in the Vette in the video. The car was tuned and pushing the limits...kind of a given honestly. It was tuned inside the shop at roughly 80+ degrees F and then taken to the street where the inlet air temps read 10+ degrees F cooler (from the logs)
It was rod failure that was determined factor and put a nice hole in the block.
That car did run the AKA Rally (like Alberto mentioned with a little less boost from VA to Salt Lake City, to Atlantic City, and then back to VA getting ragged on including the Salt Flats in Bonneville) following the motor change and is STILL running on the same stock block (that was used) 60,000+ miles later. The oil lines dry rotted last year and began to leak...but it's still holding power and boost to this day with no issues.

I had been recently wondering if the VQ might be underestimated... Though there have certainly been blown motors... but after running across this video:
I got to wondering if people have been pushing the limits. I was pretty impressed at how far these guys got on nothing but a good tune and wishes and dreams.
When I first boosted my z everyone was saying that 400rwhp was the absolute max. Now I'm seeing 425-450s pretty consistently. It wouldn't be a great idea for a DD but for a toy (like mine) who's to say 450rwhp wouldn't run for quite a few years before letting go? Maybe in 2 years people will be pushing 475rwhp. The better people get at tuning the higher #s we'll see.
