The fuel pressure is not adjustable, it is increased by the FMU (I will have to check on the ratio of the FMU). If it is for example a 12:1, then for every 1 psi of boost, fuel pressure will increase by 12 psi. I will more info tomorrow.
Having the FMU before the pump and the engine I don't see how you are controlling the FP without playing with the voltage to the pump.

Hope you can post some pics of this FMU. Never seen a mechanical one without a return line to the tank. Almost sounds like you are adjusting volume vice pressure which is not a good thing.

I am looking at the fuel diagram out of the instructions that I will post as soon as it is signed off. Basically the FMU is teed into the system as well as the new inline pump. Once you guys see it, it will make more sense. The car is a customers, so the carbon fiber was all him.

Always open to seeing a new way of doing things.

I'm sure everyone wants a dependable engine Zland. We've heard about a hundred posts of you talking about it. We ask Steve for pics and the first thing you do when he does is complain about the CF?? What does the CF have to do with this thread or Vortech? So what if the demo car had CF on it. If you really want a dependable ride don't touch the engine! Any mod that increases hp substantially will shorten the life of your engine period. It's just something everyone knows. Just seems like you want the best of both worlds.

Here are some video's of the car. The first is at startup and the second is after the car warmed up and the idle came down.

Great! in the second clip...is that high pitch chirp like sound the belts?

You have to rev that sucker a few times so we can hear the sound and the Bypass Valve!

Thanks again, hoping you can shed some light on that sound, is it really that loud?

I was actually thinking how quiet it was when you listen to an ATI next to it!! I doubt you can even hear it when the hood is closed?

Excuse my ignorance, but what is the filter on the supercharger fir? Wouldn't it be better if it was sucking cooler air from in the front of the car? I assume the intercooler is there, but there has to be some room up there?

Default Dyno Results!

Here is a dyno print out of the 350Z. It is a pdf file. I know you are going to ask why the number is so low, but we went over this before. Look at the initial run, then the new run and check out the percentage increase. Let me know what you guys think.

Forced, it's difficult to interpret the graphs b/c the whole thing is in black and white . . . not sure which is baseline and which is after the Vortech supercharger install.

But, regardless of how I interpret the graphs, it seems that the baseline (no supercharger) has greater HP and torque either up until 5230 rpm or after 5230 rpm. Can you clarify which it is and why? It would seem logical that as the rpms increase, the supercharger will make gradually more boost, and assuming proper fuel delivery, should make more power. So the supercharger makes LESS power until 5230 rpm?

Forced:

I must be reading it wrong, your baseline run is only 190hp/183 torque? Most baselines are at least 232hp on dynos I have seen.

Assuming the baselines is very low, I am assuming the 300hp/259 torque run with SC is low as well. Can you explain why this is so or the correct way to read this data.

Thanks, Jeff - zland

I been informed Vortech's dyno has always read low readings.
