does anyone know just how much work would be needed to fabricate the kit to fit the G35?

I think this is a good rule of thumb for a normally aspirated engine as well. At least the start up part.

As for waiting to shut down this is not necessary for an SC. Turbos sit in the exhaust wake and get super hot. Shutting down too early stops oil circulation and lets the oil sit in the turbo and fry. AKA oil coking.

Correct me if I'm wrong but why does the SC need this? It gets no hotter than the engine.

You should make a thread on g35driver.com and see if there's interest. If you get some responses you could point Vortech to the link and maybe they'd make a kit with the correct piping.

We will have a G35 system for sure. We just need to get one in here to verify all the goodies.

This is a website used by 350Z owners. We do get information but sometimes it is messy and after much debate. If you need tech support, go to superchargersonline.com They have techs you can address questions to about SC issues including questions specific to a particular SC company such as ATI or Vortec.

In addition, call the manufacture of the SC you want information on. Do a search, you can find a companies website and phone number that way. I called Vortec today and got all the answers I wanted. I did the same with ATI months before. The way I feel about it, if the manufacture will not give you time to answer your questions now, then they will most likely ignore you after you already spent your money thus I would scratch them off my list for that reason alone.

Notice Vortec already replied to your question (and within 20 mins of the posted question)! To me, this reinforces the compaines that are oriented towards customer service vs those that are not.

Steve/Forced:

I knew once we finished our phone conversation I would have a couple of questions.

1. If this kit is self installed, does it come with step by step installation directions?

2. If I had questions during the install, is there techs you have that can give specific answers to my questions relative to problems that might occur during installation?

Thanks, Jeff

They won't taste very good.....all you'll be tasting is their a$$ as they go by you. The Z06 still has more torque and the Vette only weighs 3150. Better yet, the base C-6 Vette will have 425 HP and will weigh under 3000lbs. The 2005 Z06 will have 500+ HP.

What stats? Torque and HP? What's a professional driver got to do with that?

You can pick up a clean 2002 Z06 for under $40,000. I had one, and I like the Z better, but my $37,464 track model will end costing a lot more to even come close to that kind of power.

lets stay on topic please, this is a very interesting thread. Start up a Z06 vs. 350Z FI thread if you want to argue.

Thanks

ZZ,

You obviously are instigating an argument. Which as a long term member you know is a no-no. And there is no reason to be rude to someone asking you to take your discussion to a different thread.

Back on Topic,

Steve- Thanks for all the info. You have been very helpful and quick to respond to questions. Your presence here has definitely been a positive one for Vortech. I will be interested in seeing how easy the self installation process turns out to be.

Thanks again,

JD

my question to any one is why is it that the ATI Procharger put out 370rwhp at 7psi and the vortech won't be able to do that at 8psi? Its claiming 412 crank hp, so ruff estimate would be 350rwhp? Any comments?
