APS ST Install
Guys with the APS single turbo kit could you take a look at the pics to see if I connected the oil supply for the turbo correctly.
Should there be an oil restrictor?
The cross over pipe is worrying me, it is cooking the paint. What do your installs look like?
Here is my oil temp gauge hookup.
Random Pics
Exhaust adaptor that I had welded up. 3.5" to 3"(was 2.5")

Looks good, but I don't understand why one would put the selonoid right at oil pressure sensor. Isn't it suposed to be right at the turbo inlet? That way the line does not drain/oil sit in the turbo?
Just my experience with the remot systems.

How do you know when to use an oil restrictor? With the oil pressure sending unit right there I know that I am seeing 60psi under full exceleration.

That looks right, just be careful of the "hard pipe" or the brass fitting that comes right off the motor and connects to the solenoid. I ended up getting a nasty oil leak, and finally figured out that the brass fitting sheared in half...and was basically hemorraging oil. I'm getting a built motor installed right now, and my friend is going to rig something up that comes off the block that shouldn't break from engine movement.

Despite suggestions that you do not need to add a restrictor, given the pressures the engine generated I ended up installing a 0.035" restrictor at the turbo oil inlet; resolved smoking and oil in intercooler issues.

other thoughts. I don't remember exactly on the ST, but I know on the twins, there is a heat shield over the fuel lines you show in your third pic.
I would also do everything I could to find an APS ST exhaust. running the stock exhaust will not get you the best results. If you can't find the ST exhaust, you need to find something comparable in terms of functionality

Ugh... like the check valve, upgraded solenoid, scavenge pump, exhaust adapters, etc that were all released in a timely fashion by APS? LOL To each their own, but adding an additional restrictor when the VQ produces 60+ psi pressure is a nice $6 convenience while you're under there...
LOL - just got my ride back... long story, but GTM fixed me up, so now I can finally enjoy it after a longggggggggggg time of not driving it.
