i've had mine for about 1.5 years, and 5,000 miles. so far so good. the motor has gone through 2 different turbo kits and multiple tuning sessions with no problems. currently on aps tt 485whp tune from dynosty.

Mine spun a bearing. I'm not sure what was the cause, I can't blame Kyle since I blow 3 other VQ's.

A lot of the members in the 300ZX & 350Z world use his engines and they can't be happier about them.

Kyle is one of the best vendors (and maybe the best) in this forum to deal with.

Kudos to Kyle

If you send your engine in first and it is buildable, no core charge is needed. Also, we absolutely stand by our work. We warranty all our builds for a year against any kind of machining or assembly defects.

^ but it is very difficult to prove there were machining or assembly defects after a motor fails and there is resultant catastrophic damage. Not faulting you, just pointing out the way it is. The only kind of warranty that is any good is one against any kind of motor failure for whatever reason for a limited time. I would pay extra for a warranty like that, particularly if you guaranteed leakdown #s after the break in tune, etc. I'm not sure if that's a viable option, given other possible failure points (e.g. bad tune resulting in motor damage), etc...

Problem is that we have had people send in warranty claims on engines where we were not at fault whatsoever. Bearings starved of oil, clear signs of detonation on pistons and bearings etc. Usually the internals will tell the story.

No one is going to warranty a build that was destroyed due to installation error, poor break in or a bad tune.

Hell, I had one 300zx customer straight up tell me that he went and made 30psi highway pulls on his brand new engine with an outdated tune from a completely different turbo and injector setup, no way that's coming out of our pocket, haha.
