Default Those with F/I and 5AT...I need to know if this is normal.

Ever since I went F/I, my car will short shift into 3rd if 2nd gear spins. For example, when I shift into 2nd and 2nd gear starts spinning it'll quickly shift into 3rd and bog the car down. This happened rarely but now I have the transgo kit and it happens ALL the time. This is only in full auto mode as manual mode works fine.

Is this normal?

This is with VDC off.

I have an 07 with GReddy twin turbo with transgo kit and I've never experienced it before. Is this at WOT?

I have had similar issues in full automatic mode. I know usually, it will just spin go to redline then cut fuel if in full auto. I guess in full auto it would assume it's time to shift into the next gear and will do so..?

Did you raise the redline limiter or anything?

I rarely drive in full auto, so most of my experiences are from the manumatic mode. Sorry I couldn't be of much help.

I raised the rev limiter and the shift from 1st to 2nd is clean but after it spins in 2nd for a moment it'll just shift early to 3rd as if it's looking for a way to put an end to the wheel spin....but VDC is off, shouldn't it just ignore the wheel spin?

Full auto has a mind of its own. It also sends signals to reduce line pressure, which is suboptimal with FI, so I avoid it when I'm on the gas.

Not to raise fear but that was what happened in my TT 5AT right before the clutch packs started to go. Then I sent my trans to SGP to be repaired and they stole it.

I would start red line'n in 2nd and 3rd gear and if it was in full auto it would just pop into the next gear. Then in manual mode it started red line'n. Do youself a favor. Change and inspect your transmission oil. If it's dark or has a dark powder in it something is wrong...

was yours redlining because of slippage or because of wheel spin? Cause mine isn't redlining...it's just spinning the wheels.

^^^ It might be because you just lowered the values so low in your calculated load table. Try raising them up a lil... calculated load graph should somewhat follow your TQ curve....

Maybe, but isn't calculated load supposed to be 100% at wot at all rpms? Also, if I don't spin 2nd ( on some roads 2nd just chirps ) then it'll shift into 3rd normally.

On a N/A car yes cause when you are at WOT you are a 0 vacuum the whole time...but on boosted cars your building boost as you are reving higher. After i get the calculated load set up on the turbo cars and such, it follows the boost and TQ curve almost dead on.

Like we talked about on the phone i dont see to many Auto cars here so im not sure how its all gonna effect the shifting and such...but Jared and I have talked several times about it and you need to spend some time setting it up....

Have any of you all compared the trans from a Titan or M45, the V8 version to ours. Supposedly the input pack has more disc's and a larger apply piston for the brake band so OE to OE it can hold more power than the V6 version. Has anyone looked into this? Could we use the V8 version of trans with our own valve body?
