So the wastegate only has a 4psi spring?

That AEM is a nice piece and being 52mm is nice and versatile

the correct spring in there is the 8psi... Ive been talking to sasha and IP said they changed the spring them selves and it says so on the Tial box as well

awesome!, good to know someone is using it at such high psi.... btw does this bc act as a boost gauge as well? ... i mean does it eliminate the need for a boost gauge.. I have a prosport in there... if so I wanna take it out if the AEM can kill 2 birds with one stone

I'm looking at the box.. It says .5 bar but the. There's another .6 number... Kinda confusing... It's weird because we neverrr saw 8 psi . Max was 6.88 ... Which is a about .5 bar... That's what Vince is wondering too... I'm going to remove the w/g and look at the spring color...to confirm.. You never know I guess

Where is the WG reference? Plenum or Turbo?

Where is your boost gauge reference? If it's on the plenum then it's about right because you have to account the pressure lost from the pipings and the FMIC.

Mmm no.

I have a .4psi difference between the turbo pressure and manifold pressure. The piping is large diameter and the FMIC is a good flowing vertical (spearco) core.

The EBC will take care of this, I am sure of it.

Yes the EBC will solve this. 4psi lost for a mid-mount is a little high. STS has about 3-4psi lost but the STS is further down but our piping is smaller though and the FMIC is also smaller. Did the OP check for any boost leak?

ya, but you really should not have to spend 300$ more on a BC to run spring pressure on a stock block. Have you tried a 40$ MBC to see if that fixes it. Much more economical option for those that will only ever be running 1 boost level

i would move to w/g reference to the cold side, somewhere before the tb. boost at the engine is what matters, who cares what's at the turbo. if i have an 8psi spring i want 8psi on w/g.. that's just my opinion

and i'm seriously considering installing this kit on a couple of my friend's cars. Can't wait for final results

I think he said 0.4 psi, not 4 psi lost. Wastegates should not see vacuum so the compressor housing is a good choice. Stronger pressure there creates the greater differential against atm for wastegate control.

Vas did not buy it. I thought it was up to me to get what he payed for. I bought the EBC with my own money, and shipped it to him over nigh.

dang it, i wish i had dual mode boost controller. That would solve my delima with having 2 boost pressures to select. I'm not really in the mood to spend 300$ on top of my haltech already though.
