So I'm driving to work this morning and I hear a grinding sound coming from my engine bay. I pulled over and noticed that the blower pulley bolt had backed out some. Lucky for me I always carried the proper wrenches for the cog belt pulley with an extra cog belt just in case. I removed the belt and turned the blower pulley to find the grinding sound. So now I have to repair my blower. I'm going to need to find bearings and seals. I remember seeing someone post about bearings that are rated for 70K RPMs. Where can I find these, and has anyone ever tried using them?

I will let you know on the size if I can find it when I get home

actually now that I recall.. I dont even think they make the other bearings in 70K because they are so big. They dont really need to be replaced unless there bad too.. WHICH I DOUBT.. because they rarely go bad.. you only need a set of 2 of the small ones. those are the ones that take more stress and need be spun faster.
if the bigger ones are fine, I wouldnt worry about them.
edit: forgot about Todd, contact him and tell em Vas with the vortech sent ya.

He makes the bigger bearings ( i dont know how fast they spin though ) but you can buy the whole kit.
Todd is a great guy and always keeps in touch and ships fast!
hope this helps

I spoke with Todd today from supercharger rebuilds and he told me that Vortech uses ABEC 7 bearings. According to his web site they are rated up to 59K RPMs. If this is so, why is it that we see bearing failures way below that?
