? about the oil feed line for a greddy turbo.
Hey yall while i did the install on my TT set up i now need to replace the pass side oil feed line for the turbo as it is leaking. It has been over 2 years since i put this kit on and i have forgotten how hard is it to to do with the turbo still mounted to the manifold.
Do i have to remove the turbo or can i still get at it with the removal of the coolant tube on the pass side.............i just cant remember(im old ok).I have a extra set of lines but i just cant remember this process.....i know it was a pita the first time.Looks like ill be buying some more cheap wrenches again.
Thanks for helping one of the old guys.

I'd give Frank a call and see if he can give you a pointer.
*** that Jeffie....you should no me by now.We are the same lets do it ourseleves or it aint gonna get done.I still remember it is a ***** to do this but thats ok as i wont have to help any customers on monday when i fix it.
I have done this... its not fun but def doable. I took just the turbo out form the bottom, but some crappy wrenches up and made it work. There was no need to remove the manifold.
Glad to know when I'm old things wont change.

Thanks to you and Phunk as i just cant wait till monday(sarcasm at its best). All i can say is fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuk.
whats the cause of the leak??? 2 years doesnt sound bad, but what material is the end of the line? and what does the end of the line mount into? cast turbo housing??
seems to me it sounds like a dissimilar metal issue and heat......over time, rtv or teflon, whatever is called for during install may have burned out and failed??
may wanna look into more similar material fittings/lines.......
insight??

The Greddy lines can be problematic with time and heat, as they are not compression fit. Put our lines on and you will never have this problem again.
Hey Sharif i have found the adapters but i only see 3 so still send me the stuff and thanks man.I also got the lines of without dropping the turbo of the manifold.........i may be old but im still crafty.
so theres probably no amount of money that will convince you to drive to crofton to remove the greddy twins from my car... without a lift or removing the engine
but im serious

but im serious
If you have a Greddy setup go stop by Hills and see if you can get the directions/instructions that came wit my kit.
