Blew the same coil pack twice in 4 days
So I blew the same coil back (driver side, closest to front) twice in 4 days. It lasted maybe 400 miles on the new coil pack. They both melted in the same spot, similar to images other my350z users have posted with their packs blowing.
I checked all grounding, wiring and connectors and everything is tight. I even tested the wiring with a VOM and everything is solid. The plug looks fine as well.
Has anyone seen this before? WTF is going on?

This happened to me before I purchased a UTEC. If you turn on the ignition key but dont start the car check the coil pack to see if its warm. If the coil pack is warm/hot than your ECM needs to be replaced. This cost me 2K for the dealer to replace ECM and me providing the coil packs@1/3 price dealer charges.

Both times mine went when I was lightly cruising along at 30-40mph. Immediately you feel a loss in power and check engine light starts blinking.
This is how the ones I was speaking of went, as soon as we put it back to just the stock ecu it would work perfect. I was thinking it was a short in the utec, but a second utec confirmed it was not.
