what about putting your old manifold back on for the drive to chicago, and then swapping it back out for the Cosworth real quick in SP's parking lot b4 the re-tune?

better option would be to buy the tuning cable and fix it yourself...

If you buy the cable, can you hook up via laptop and wifi and have them clean things up remotely?

It's locked.

That would enable me to make some adjustments but the ultimate correction will involve load based tuning either on a dyno or on the street with Larry tuning from the passenger seat. Neither is available on wifi. The best tune will be with my tuner present so he can make all the necessary tweeks.
The cable is available I think for like $300 or so.

the ems not locked? SP seemed to allude that you just need that 300$ cable.

tuning AFR is very easy to do. Just log and adjust. Maybe a little time consuming, but dont let anyone fool you that its more complicated than that. Esp since you timing had already been done.

I would think that since you live sooo far from your tuner, you'd want to know how to make simple adjustments like this

^ thats what I thought, maybe some confusion in the thread on who was replying to what..

ya but the car is barely drivable with that rich of an AFR.... gotta get to the shop 1st. A simple fix you can do at home with the cable. That's what I was saying. On E85, high 700s should be piece of cake. Just in time for the snow

Actually since I sent Larry the EMS, it cruises at 13-14 AFR. Still idles rich, but that's only when I am at a standstill. The trip to SP is 95% highway. Not worried about making the trip.

Problem has been identified. I am at fault. I didn't use the correct fitting to connect my SS hose to the MAP sensor. Once the repair was corrected, it was still considerably lean. We have to go back and add some fuel all over the existing map.
I am so glad to get to the bottom of it. It was not an easy find because the MAP sensor is hidden in the battery compartment under the flip up cover.

All I can say is relief. Whew!

Thanks for suggesting that Raj. Mad at myself for not finding it, but either way, the car would have required a re-tune. When I boost it creeps up into the 13's...Needs more
fuel.

Getting my catch can made, and hopefully something else up my sleeve. Muhaha.

even if what you are envisioning is setup remote pc control/desktop control, it woudl be too much lagg time to get the tunning done...with as much $$ spend on the car, why take that change

And now he has a fancy intake and I don't!!!!...

Would love to if Larry agrees to build one. Although him finding free time is a tough one with all these cars in the shop that need his attention. Glad to see business is booming.

Leaving Thursday mid-day or early afternoon. Gotta drive back to NYC tomorrow. I offered to buy Larry breakfast if he came to work early

Larry basically put back my original tune and things are great. But definitely leaner than previously. So we just have to add some fuel all around. I picked up a few of gallons of E-85 which is easily available around these parts. So we'll see what the intake did for me. Again, I'm not expecting much from the intake alone since I already had a Crawford previously. But, there is a little matter of a little top secret mod I did while I was here..I'll let you know after Thom comes around with his G.

Got to meet Randy today...Great guy. He's on his way home now.

We didn't get to do any blast together due to time constraints. I took him for a ride in my car...nothing exciting, I think 1 pull through 2 gears.

I'll definately be making it to ZdayZ next year.....
