Default Oily Residue Under Vortech Blower

I changed the fluid in my vortech last night (second change on v3 blower) and noticed some oily residue on the bottom of the blower. I checked around the blower and this is the only area where there is anything besides belt dust. There is no residue at turbine, cog pulley, BPV, or on my hood, and the surfaces below the blower (wheel well liner & frame rail) show no signs that anything has dripped there.

At first glance it looks like something maybe oozing out of a seam in the blower or the plug nearby (see first picture below), but I doubt it since I've never opened that plug or pulled apart the blower. The only other thing I can think of is that fumes from my driver side PCV tube may be condensing on the underside of the blower - the breather filter is directly below the main filter and 2-3 inches in front of the area with the residue.

Anyone seen this before? Does this indicate a bad/blown seal somewhere? FWIW, my blower is very quiet at idle, doesn't rattle, and the blower makes the correct amount of boost (9-10 psi with 3.12 pulley).

its prolly blow by from the breather. wipe it off and monitor. if your oil level in the blower was fine, i wouldnt worry about it.

^ that sounds like a seal issue.

that's what i'm thinking man. the supercharger fluid level was dead-on and the fluid looked practically new. i'll take another look under there in a week or so when i install a new filter. thx for the response!

If you are running the crank case vent line from the L/H valve cover to the vortech supplied air cleaner as they instruct to do in there installation instructions then yes that is normal for you to see.

Once in a blue moon i go to cars and coffe on saturday morning. I will be going to the vegas drift event this weekend up at the speed way but will not be taking the Z out. I have it pulled apart right now installing my water/meth injection kit. Why do you ask?

when i had the drivers breather line down below my valve cover the oil would sometimes get into the breather filter and then when i boosted it would blow some of that out onto my fender. so that's probably what it's doing to the bottom of your blower like mentioned. Mine just did it to the fender.
