Do you guys think my ignition system is weak?
str8dum1 just said he ran the same psi supercharged on a stock block with stock gap and a colder plug. Apples to apples comparison.
It sounds to me like poor grounding though. Check that you have a good ground on your engine still. Check the plug holes and the bottom of the plugs for corrosion that might make for a poor ground. Check the connectors in the coils for corrosion and buildup. Replace the spark plugs just to verify.
All these options are much cheaper and easier to do than an ignition booster.
You should be able to run at least in the mid .03X's for gap at your level with the stock ignition. Assuming you have good engine grounding, the stock ignition is more than capable of good spark for only 17psi with normal compression.

Anyways...it seems like my wideband is reading leaner than it should...at the dyno I would be at 10.0 ( the lowest it reads ) and my car saying 11.8 or so. Today I'm going to calibrate it again to see what's up. Being too rich could explain the misfires.
Aren't you also running some type of water injection? This is very taxing on an ignition system and a device that ramps up the primary ignition voltage may be in order (like the HKS DLI).
Sorry, didn't read the stock block part.

I had the same issue with the Dyno showing 10.0 and my crappy AEM UEGO at 11.5 or so.
I just added a voltage booster and seems to have helped, roads are wet right now so cant test it completely, but the little dry area I was in I gave it some gas and didnt feel any obvious misfires. In my case it looks like it was the lack of ignition juice. Grounding does also make sense however. Still running .026gap
When I get everything back together I'm going to regap the plugs to .030 to see if the misfire goes away. I'm pretty sure it's my a/f ratio being far too rich.
If I may ask, why does having water injection cause such demands from the ignition system? is it because of more turbulence in the mixture making it harder to ignite?
