Well on Saturday me and some friends went to Beaver Springs Dragway to run our cars and see what they could do. This was my first time running the Z with the current setup and the first time running it even with the twin's on it, last time was 3 year ago back on the vortech blower, which I went 13.1 @ 110mph.
Since I am a total newb at running the car I kept in on pump gas and ran it only on my low boost setting (13.5psi). I didn't launch the car either as Im afraid of destroying the stock axles and have no experience doing so, so I basically rolled off the line. First pass ever with the setup I went 12.000 (perfect lol) @ 125mph, my 60' was a 2.2 so there is a lot of room to improve there. Here is a vid of that run...
<object width="640" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/S4MJCmTlNek?fs=1&hl=en_US"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/S4MJCmTlNek?fs=1&hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="640" height="385"></embed></object>
I was running Welb Pro Stars with Mickey Thompson drag radials in the rear. The difference between having traction and spinning on the street is unreal, the car felt so fast on low boost.
My second pass of the day was on high boost (22psi). This pass wasn't near as good as my first, I went 12.021 @ 127mph. I missed 3rd gear twice
shifting 2nd to 5th and then missing going into 3rd. I still was happy with such a high trap after missing gears. I stopped racing for the day due to another car blowing up going down the track and them closing the 1/4 and only allowed 1/8 mile passes.
Overall it was a really fun time, needless to say I need a lot of work with my driving but I'm confident I can get that down with a little more time at the track. The car impressed me for how it ran with a newb driver, and at the risk of sounding like a bench racer I think the car is more than capable with hitting lower times with me being more experienced or a better driver in it.
Here are a few pics...

Thanks guys, unfortunatly I won't have any time to hit the track for the rest of the year. In the mean time though I intend to get upgraded axles and fine tune a few other things which should aid me in running better times once spring comes around, that and just hitting the track often then....my goal is a sub 10.500 pass at one point, just dont know how long it'll take me to get there.
There is so much more for your car that a 12.0 is something you will destroy in the future. Why dont you come down to Cecil dragway as a couple mid-a people are doing on the 20th of november.

Cecil will be where I go next time for sure. I'd love to come the 20th as I already saw the thread, would be a lot of fun! But I leave that day to go to Fl for thanksgiving vaca. Thanks for the invite, maybe we could meetup in the spring.
My last time out I ran similar exit speeds but my car's power is just over 500whp according to my last dyno.
I'm on stock axles as well with 60ft's of low 2's, running low 12's & high 11's 1/4 miles.
In what gear are you exiting and what FD?
I think in my case a 7500rpm rev limit, 3.5 FD, keeping in 4th gear and the 26' MT's are limiting my speed even if I bump the power
if it's the case here as well.
