And yes, Hal runs low 9s, Thom and Alberto can beat liter bikes. I wasnt talkin about me. Those guys run over 700whp. You should pm those guys to see how they can control the car with that power level. Just because you cant, doesnt mean that other people havent taken the time to dial it in.

About the city kid, you obviously missed the thread about the NYC guy with the 350whp Procharger that made his buddy **** himself...

No....I drive it to the office sometimes....

I have been to your side of the world where cars cruise at 200mph..Dubai. I though in the Middle East green (money) means go.

And it's also comforting to know that Manly rods are finished in the USA, rather than overseas where quality control can be more difficult to manage and check. And just to be clear, Eagle rods are excellent as well, and I don't think anyone is going to have an issue with either rod in the 500-600whp range.
Sharif, it would be nice if you could a snap a pic of both rods side by side to show the difference, finish etc. of each rod.

I thought Hal @ IP was pushing 750+whp on his personal Z using Eagle rods?

My stroker build with Eagle Rods made 815whp on DD and 1006whp on DJ.

Rich made close to 900whp on FP dyno using the same Rods....As Raj has stated, thats close to 1200 hp.....300 short of their claim....With those numbers I would not call this a weak Rod.
XKR, you're one of those who come to mind when using Eagle rods and pushing high numbers. Are you still using Eagle rods on your stroked engine?

There are 2 types of BC rods, which one are you using? and what are they rated at? price?

They're not widely used in our VQ engines but knowing BC doesnt make crap I'll consider them too.

I'm using Brian Crower bROD (Sportsman) Connecting Rods.

VQ35DE / VQ35HR Sportsman Connecting Rods
Although the name implies that the Sportsman is a 2nd tier part, the Sportsman incorporates every feature of the premier BC625+ rod, only that the fasteners have been changed to the more economical, yet venerable ARP2000 bolt, rated to 220,000 p.s.i. The Sportsman is rated in excess of 200HP per cylinder and priced for the everyday performance buff.
I got them for $525.

Even the Brian Crower Pro Connecting Rods are priced at ~$900 and rated in excess of 300HP per cylinder.

Yes.... I am still using Eagle.

Remember... Rich was pushing more power than me....he may have found the limit or something.

So GTM's "in-house designed" rods are just rebadged eagles with a 25% markup?

My bad....I stand corrected...It's GTM Rod......I just got back from Doug's part of the world where someone may have used Ganja for seasoning

I am being told by the experts that over 700whp DD is pushing the Eagles So I hate to say it....Rich is correct

I am also being told that Hal ( correct me if I am wrong) broke the Eagle rod at 1000 whp.
So with this in mind...what's the limit for the Eagle? 700?... 750 or 800?
If I had known this....I would not have pushed my car to 800whp. From the info from Eagle's advertisement .....it clearly states that I was within a safe margin....

BTW Raj....it's 4.0.....not 4.2

Just in case you missed my correction......

My rods are NOT Eagle.......they are GTM Rods.

Mike

You don't have eagle rods in your 4.0 stroker engine, We do offer two type of rods one is an H beam witch is rated to 200hp per rod and an I beam rod that is rated to 350hp per rod . You do have the I beam rods in you engine, putting eagle rods in a high horse power build is straight dumb and stupid in my opinion.

Here is some pics of the Two

Sam

I BEAM

H BEAM

Ya, there was no way you'd have eagles in your car making that kinda power and trq. It would just be really weird of GTM to make such a badass motor and skimp on that.

And Mike, its too easy to bust your *****.

No disrespect Sam, as that was pointed towards Mike as he mentioned, although I am interested to know what else I made assumptions about?
