I can only imagine how difficult it would be to have you as a customer, if you communicated anything like you have in this thread. You might try asking for some punctuation and a shift key for Christmas

Learn to type...

As str8 mentioned, clocking the turbo has zero to do with the oiled portion of the turbo. If the turbo was brand new, there is zero reason why STS or your installer would have messed with the portion of the turbo that oil goes through other than the feed and drain fittings.

as to the housing bolt being tight, thats 100% on the installer. You ALWAYS have to adjust the clocking of the housings to match the exhaust manifold and the charge pipe.

But like I said, loose housing bolts have nothing to do with oil loss. My wager still stands he had OC problems and didnt pull his dipstick once since 2008.
so 3 months just 4 delivery when u were told 2 weeks isnt bad cs?
is thier some kind of tuner math on on del time i am missing?
i bought my 04 z with 34k on it with full maintenance hist from a middle age couple,(wifes car) . oil dripping from turbo and a river of oil comming out the tail pipe. can u tell me wut happened. dont understand how i hung myself out 2 dry. dont forget this happend soon after work was done. my tuner said he didnt clock the turbo. u sure he HAD 2 as this is a custom kit 4 the 350z.

What is this clocking the turbo you are talking about??

Did you have the car tuned after the kit was installed?? On a dyno?? That is the question at hand.

OP, sorry to hear about your situation, but you join here to bash a company and communicate that way and that's the response you'll get. And just because your 42 doesn't mean not a kid. Personally I'm a 33 year old kid.

i actually started laughing out loud!!!
I hate the losers that chirp about spelling and punctuation....but you should be to able to type at a 5th grade level if you are hanging out in chat forums.

I am so lost here could someone explain this to me, two of the posters in the thread are the same guy He had a river of oil coming out the tail pipe of his car but kept driving it until the motor blew then blamed STS for building a poor kit. Sorry to hear about the blown engine , I am just having a hard time figuring out what the problem is/was with the way it was written.

42 huh? must be a late bloomer

hey, good luck with that sleeved block. Bet you're going to love that STS on that built motor.....

this jerk is thinking you might wanted to have spent a bit more time on this forum before you decided on the STS kit. And then again before you had this shop put this motor together for you.... but at 42 you must have it all figured out, I mean you did pay 18 grand for your Z and you have titanium "vaulves"

Wow, are you sure you didn't instal the kit yourself? I see a direct correlation to your spelling/grammar and the end result of your engine. Geeze.

I agree with the rest, unfortunately it seems like you brought all this on yourself. Or could have at least prevented most of it.

GL on your next 9 grand build.
