And the price is INSANE. Its a single kit and $7k??? How about.....$4500... 350Z Parts are cheap now being that its far from the hottest car in the street now and the 370Z is boss. You can buy another car for that price!
This post reminds me of a conversation I overheard at a meet some time ago. A young automotive enthusiast speaking with his friend, said something along the lines of; "I don't know why you'd spend the money for a Full-Race turbo kit, you can get a kit that looks the same off eBay for $800.00. It's a Civic, I ain't tryin'a spend that much money for a little boost."

The way I've always looked at it; you either understand the value of quality, or you do not. If you don't, there are many sellers on eBay who would love your business.

"If you cannot afford to do it right, you cannot afford to do it twice."

As Marti stated, there is literally nothing in common between a Turbonetics turbo kit and the Momentum Performance turbo kit. I've worked with both kits, and literally, there is no comparison. None whatsoever.

As a former owner of the POS TN Kit, it's nice to see someone who values quality.

The customers you want are willing to pay a premium if they get something for it.

You need a product that actually works to get in and stay in the dance, but in every industry, not just this one, what differentiates the best from the rest is how they react when stuff breaks, when stuff goes wrong.

As someone who owns a manufacturing business, and makes something with moving parts, there will always be issues - which if you look at them right are opportunities.

Running to your problems, taking care of your customers, and consistently focusing more on the future of your business instead of the profit you may lose today by looking after a customer in trouble, is the stuff that great companies are made of.

Thanks for letting me rant...

Good luck!

Mark

Mark, you are 100% correct.

"Mistakes and issues are going to happen. It's how those mistakes and issues are addressed that defines an individual or a business."

Obviously trying your best to preemptively reduce or eliminate mistakes is the best policy.

im excited to see the longevity of this kit. it does look promising, but so did the TN kit when it first came out. everybody praised it because of TNs previous products but that ended soon after the kits fell apart and had overboost issues.

i wouldnt say this kit is totally different from the TN kit, it looks VERY similar except for the path of the charge pipe.

granted it does look better in the quality and fitment department, but it is overpriced for whats included IMHO. other kits either had included EMS and fuel setups or the price was lower so those products could be bought individually. and for an extra grand, you can keep the pretty foam packaging.

kudos for another option tho, i hope it does what its promised.

I don't get why people seem to think that this is so over priced. This is a complete kit and when you compare it to kits like the Greddy TT and other options to get to this power level, it's less money.

It's complete with injectors, tune, BOV and more. I think it's a fair deal for a quality setup.

Also, in contrast to the TN kit, they use very quality parts. Real Stainless, Garret GT35R, Tial Gate and BOV and quality hardware. It really goes leaps and bounds over the other options in my opinion.

hes referring to the bracket needed to mount the coolant overflow reservoir on a G, just like on my APS kit, in the G supplemental kit it came if a different bracket

edit: but it actually looks like in this pic that it is mounted in the same place, so i guess they just drill holes?

are you that desperate for a fitment issue?

If it does have one that would actually make it more similar to a PL kit. A lot of fitment complaints for PL kits.

the G35 does not have a radiator support pass thru like the 350z. Have you never looked under the hood of your own car?

I know that. And yes, I have looked. So they don't offer a G35 specific kit that doesn't require cutting the rad support?
