Starting the install on one today. Bryan should be arriving any minute now. I will post on results on a stock block. And you can't even compare this to the Powerlab kit.

Compared to Powerlab, Momentum is a far superior company in terms of product development, engineering and support. We have been hands on with both kits and there is no reason to consider a Powerlab kit with this one on the market.

It is a good match for people wanting forced induction on the stock engine with no plans to build later, and is a simpler / less expensive install than twin turbo alternatives.

Very nice then! I like how they used v-band flanges throughout the kit

Awesome kit ! i seen this kit do an impressive 525 whp on my buddy z last week !! Very amazing clean and good looking kit ~~ My opinion well worth the money ! I would also recommend that upon purchasing a momentum single turbo kit to also purchase there exhaust which sounds amazing ! Kodos to momentum for developing a great kit !

Edited the quote to bring up a point about how the FI section has transitioned on ST kits. Not putting words into Hal's mouth, just relating his statement to how it would have been said not too long ago.

So Momentum>Powerlab>>Turbonetics?

Thanks John i was just posting this to give people that have the cash now to go turbo the heads up about the best single kit. I will be ready in the near future, i dont know when cause i dont think my stock auto tranny is gonna hold that 400hp i may have to buy a 6spd then install it on that one.

How do you think this kit would hold up in extreme track conditions? I was always melting fittings and warping manifolds on my jwt kit.

That’s interesting, I’ve had the PowerLab kit for a while now & my brother has had it since 2008 and we’ve encountered zero issues with the placement of the wastegate, no issues with the piping and boost is holding steady…

What’s more is I’ve made 360 whp on 4 psi; my brother recently made 400 whp on 7 psi… the momentum kit is claiming 400 on 8 psi too…I’m not seeing how this kit is really an improvement on the PowerLab kit (especially the claim that “you can’t even compare it”, lol)... the PowerLab kit uses the same TiAL pieces (wastegate & BOV), v-bands for the down-pipe, etc.

does this kit suffer the inherent flaw of the PL at high boost, massive ait and complete drop off of hp. Had to bastardize my kit and made 545rwhp on a mustang dyno before it fell on its face
